Childhood friend. Boyfriend. Lover. And in a possible future her husband. This is (was) the main guy in Rachel's life. The romance that they had was one of the most underplayed relationships in the Marvel Universe, but one of the most enduring. Franklin had been killed by Sentinels, but he sent his dream-self to the past to where he remembered safety... and Rachel. Think about this: he came from death, traveled through time and dimensions to be with her. But alas it wasn't meant to be for them. After causing general havoc for the X-Men, New Mutants, and Fantastic Four; the adult Franklin allowed himself to fade away to let his younger self live. And later when Rachel dissapeared into the timeline, Franklin was aged to an adult. Now with Rachel returning he'd been de-aged to six or seven once more. Talk about irony.

One of the cutest and funniest love triangles (if it could be called that) I ever read. Kitty had a major crush on the WHO guy, who in turn had it bad for Ray. And you really couldn't blame the professor, not with the way Rachel dressed *hrmph* at times. But she only liked him as a friend and tried to let him down gently. Took him quite awhile to get the hint.

Unrequited love in general. A rather shallow man who had it bad for Rachel. Unfortunately his thoughts toward Ray all ran to *ahem*, something not good when the object of your desire is a telepath of the highest order. Another Nigel from an alternative timeline also had it bad for Rachel. And ended up being covered in tar and feathers, for his thoughts.
Quote: "It's her--I know it--so magnificent--so perfect--we were meant for each other!"
This little blue demon very nearly married Rachel. During Inferno when Rachel was trapped in mannequin form, Crotus in an attempt to take control of the Phoenix Force, tried to bind Rachel to him through marriage. Fortunately Nightcrawler was able to interrupt the ceremony and transform Rachel to her natural form.
Quote: "Crotus, you lucky devil-- whatever did you do to deserve this?!"
Talk about disturbing. This is the man who may one day become Ahab, the sadistic cyborg who made Rachel's life a living hell. When Dr. Campbell first arrived at Muir Island, Ray was eyeing him almost immediately. Was it attraction? Or was it some kind of uncounsious programming left over from Ahab? It was never resolved as she left soon after his arrival.
Quote: "Ms. Summers?! We don't know each other that well!"
Since it hasn't been officially stated that Ahab is Rory, he gets his own entry. The twisted scientist from the future. Ahab has this obsessive aspect, a lust, that blocks all reason when it come to Rachel. He needs to control, dominate, and have her all to himself. And if he can't have her, then no one else can.
Quote: Summers is ther architect of my pain. Long have I dreamt of breaking her to my will. Of making her once more a loyal hound of Ahab. But if it is not to be... I will not let her live in victory. "Die, psi-witch!"
Rachel first met a teen-aged Blaquesmith while protecting him from an irate cyborg trader, several months after freeing herself out of the timestream. She recognized his telepathic potential then, but declined his offers of her teaching him. It wasn’t until nearly a year had past until they had met again. He then joined her fledgling group, which would be in time called Clan Askani. Blaquesmith had a major crush on Rachel, but his feeling were never reciprocated. When he came back to the past to help Cable he had the ability to call upon her (deceased, but still floating around) spirit for guidance.
Quote: "Bright lady, wait... you shine like no one I have ever meet!"
