phoenix... rachel summers

The other stuff.

Here is where things that don't quite fit in will stay until I organize them.

Limited Series-

There have been two limited series that feature Rachel. X-Men: True Friends and X-Men: Phoenix. Both limiteds are three book series. In the first it's the tale of Kitty and Rachel going back in time to Nazi Germany where they meet Logan and the Shadow King. I think this is the story that was promised in Excalibur #22, but was never delivered. The second limited deals with Rachel's coming back after being stuck in the timeline for two thousand years. There she forms a group that will in time be known as the Askani.

Possible Sightings.

Here's one that was pointed out to me from a friend that subscribes to an online list of PAD's. When Ashema is connected to every person in the Franklinverse in Heroes Reborn: The Return #3, a young woman with green eyes and short red hair is depicted. It kind of looks like Rachel. Another is in the Mutant X Universe. In Mutant X Annual 2000, Gambit and Bloodstorm get two toddlers for Mr. Sinister. Siblings, it looks like, a boy and a girl. Sinister takes the boy, his 'X-Man', who looks to be that world's version of Cable/X-Man. Is his sister that world's version of Rachel Summers? This same girl is Raven, Gambit's (adopted) daughter that was kidnapped by S.H.I.E.L.D. She had some pretty powerful abilities. In the recent Mutant X, she's confirmed of being of Summers' heritage.

Rachel Returns!

She's back! In Cable #82 Rachel makes a brief, if intense appearance. And she still has the Phoenix Force. What I've gathered so far. A two-part storyline called "The Search for Rachel Summers " starts in Cable #85 deals with her return. Instead of becoming Mother Askani, Rachel is thrown into a much different time arriving at the House on the Borderline. Worse she's taken captive by one of the greatest mass murderers in recorded history, the man called Guant. Nathan being the good brother he is, goes to rescue his sister. And I suspect, some good old fashion beat-down Summers' style thrown in there somewhere. For those really brave, you can take a look at the cover art of Cable #85.
