Frequency, directed by Gregory Hoblit, proves that on occasion, Aurora Borealis appear over the skyline of New York City.
Mr Caviezel plays John Sullivan, who connects with his father in ways that can make us weep, maybe because he can and some of us can’t.
Gregory Hoblit
Gregory Hoblit earned experience in television, and then when he moved to films, he showcased Edward Norton in his “Primal Fear” breakout role.
Some also claim that he showcased Mr Caviezel in “Frequency”.
Hoblit’s 2002 showcase for new talent can be seen when viewing Colin Farrell in “Hart’s War”.

Character John Sullivan
This classically named character serves as a peace officer in New York City. Though the character’s name serves to underscore the generational thing for public service occupations in New York, it offers us no clue to his family members’ remarkable ability to move back and forth in time.
We understand Mr Caviezel takes ribbings about his ability to act a “full range of moody”, most of which may be visible here.
The father and son play nicely off each other in this story. The child John Sullivan clearly develops the strong attachment we see the grown John Sullivan demonstrate for his father.
Mr Caviezel may have met Dennis Quaid as early as his “Wyatt Earp” days, but that’s pure conjecture.

Answer
Updated July 5, 2004, thanks to JDM
A site visitor discovered what we believed to be long lost. This then, appears to be the official site.
As well, here are links to the IMDB version in English. Here’s a Netherlands option, and our favourite, one in French.
