Collaborating with peers when using technology is very important.  It helps all people who are involved with the collaboration.  I have personally used collaboration several times in the course,  Technology in Education, as well as my everyday life trying to survive the world of teaching.  Below you will find the variety of ways I have used collaboration as well as a description of what I did.
1.  Email

  • emailed professors at Wesleyan as well as ECU to receive help and advice on a number of assignments and class projects.
  • emailed students for help on classroom assignments as well as activities they were doing with their students in their classrooms.
  • emailed Yvonne Simmons at WRAL TV 5 for information concerning using certain movies in the classroom
2.  On-Line Discussions
  • discussed readings with classmates at ECU and Wesleyan
  • learned a variety of interesting ideas from classmates via the postings.
3.  Tutorials
  • classmates and myself have helped each other in the classroom learn how to navigate and manage difficult programs that we were just learning.
4.  Projects
  • Created power point presentation with fellow classmate
  • Created ideas for reading comprehension at ECU
