Procedures for Managing Technology:
  1. Schedule is posted in notebook beside computer
  2. Students will be assigned into groups and groups will have assigned times to the computer
  3. High ability students will be paired with low ability students
  4. Instructions will be written on note cards that flip after each step is completed
  5. Behind schedules in notebooks--there will be trouble shooting directions for kids who run into programming problems
  6. Project the lessons and directions on a TV that is computer ready that can be hooked up to one computer in class that can be shown to whole class.
  7. Computers will be cleaned weekly by students who serves detention with me for misbehaving on the computer during class.
  8. Only 20 minutes per student when working individually
  9. Students must follow sign in and sign out rules

Advanced Technology Competencies for Teachers:

10.1 Use the Computer Skills Curriculum to identify what students should know and be able to do--This goal is met by setting up strict guidelines for using the computer

12.4 Physical settings that support active student involvement, inquiry, and collaboration--This goal is met by setting up guidelines that mentions each of these areas

12.5 Organizational and management strategies that support active student involvement, inquiry, and collaboration--This goal is met by setting up guidelines that require students involvement and collaboration

13.2 Use media and technology to support learning for children with special needs--This goal is met by guidelines being set up to accommodate all children

13.3 Use media and technology to support learning for children whose primary language is not English--This goal is met by guidelines being set up to accommodate all children

14.1 Establish classroom policies and procedures that ensure compliance with copyright law, fair-use guidelines, security, and child protection--This goal is met by having the rules posted behind the computer for all students to see each time they sit down

14.2 Ensuring equal access to media and technology resources for all students--This goal is met by having time set aside for all students
