On the Underworld message boards, people can make multiple characters from different Kingdoms to take part in the happenings of Underworld. Well, if you are interested in joining, there are a few things you should look into first.

To begin with, you should look over the Underworld site that you're on now. You'll have a much easier time if you're familiar with all the Kingdoms and information on the site. I know things may seem daunting at first, but no worries! If you have any questions, email the Manager, Helpin' Harold, or Historian Hilda. They'll be more than happy to help you out!

We don't mean you need to post a certain amount of times in one week, but we want our members to post every once and a while. It doesn't have to be every day, and you don't need to dedicate yourself fully to Underworld. It's understandable that you probably have a busy life.

	We just would like fairly dedicated posting, whenever you feel like it. Basically, we're trying to find regulars, people who will post every once in awhile and help keep Underworld exciting. If you would be willing to post frequently on the boards, you're very welcome. But one- or two- time posters will only make the webmaster's job more difficult. That said and done, it's time to make your character. Here at Underworld, we're very serious about our characters. We try to develop them, and keep their personalities consistent from post to post. So if you have a normally shy character, it'd better to keep them relatively shy throughout many of your posts. Realism (to a certain extent) is key. The first step in making your character would be picking their country and occupation. Did you read the pages on the different Kingdoms? If you did, you'll be better prepared. Check the Castes page, and see if there are any positions you would like your character to fill. Look over the Castes page carefully... And be aware that if you don't want to have a character that's a King, or Queen, or even works at the palace, that's fine! You can make a regular citizen if you'd like. The Castes page will tell you which careers are open. For newcomers, it is best not to pick a King or Queen position, because you'll be taking control of a Kingdom. But if you feel up to it, be whatever you'd like. Once you've picked a Kingdom and position, you're ready to focus on the details of your characters. Be aware that people from different countries might have different appearances and abilities than people from other countries. Of course, you may have a character already planned out. It's really up to you. Any questions about characters? Email the Webmaster. She'll help. Also, if you'd like to talk with any players from the Kingdom you've picked, their email addresses can be found under the Characters section. All characters are put there once they establish themselves, and their email addresses can also be found on that page. Once you've sorted through the details, click the link to the Underworld Post Office. That's the message board where we play. Click the "register" link, and then make an account for your character! Most of us use the Local Accounts, as we have a better chance of making a username. You can make the username your character's name, or you can make a username that relates to your character somehow. Either way, make it unique! You can also make an email address especially for your character, if you'd like! Click the Subterrainia Bird Network link on the sidebar of the Underworld website, and work your way from there! It's easy, and you can have a unique email address especially for Underworld! But don't worry, it's not required. Whichever you decide, you should let the Webmaster know an email address where you can be reached and whether you would like to have it public. And now you're ready to go! Any questions when it comes to posting? Just go to the "HelpDesk" forum, and ask Harold and Hilda for any help! Once you've figured out all of your character's details, log-in to the Underworld Post Office and leave Post Official Prime your character's information (name, where they are from, what job they have) in the 'Mainstream' section. Post Official Prime will then ask certain character permissions (characters from your chosen kingdom/area) and set you up with your Vault account (coming soon). A side note: You're more than welcome to make more than one character!
