In the 21st centru, education of Computer Science is the basic need of education system. The demand of highly educated professionals in the filed of computer is continuosly increasing throughout globe due to increasing trend of globalization particularly in the economic and social sector. The New Education Policy of the goverment encourges the technological and vocational / professional education for making self empoyed among next generations. |
To fulfill the above needs Science College established Computer Science Centre under the coordinatorship of the Department of Physics, Science College, Patna. The center started Bachelor of Science - Hons. in Computer Applications, i.e. B.Sc.-Hons. in C.A. (BCA), in the session 2001-2002. Syllalbus of the BCA is as prescribed by the Patna University. The examination authority is also Patna University.
The opening ceremony of the Computer Science Center was held on 8th October 2001. The chief guest was the Vice -Chancellor of Patna University Dr. K. K. Jha. For the purpose, the first faculty member of the center Mr. RAJEEV KUMAR (also a student of M.Sc.-Physics) was appointed by an expert team.
The eligibility crieteria: -- Admission is based on Entrance Test followed by Interview, for those students who passed I.Sc. (10+2) or equv. with 55% marks and with Mathematics is as a subject. Usually, the admission process starts in the month of April / May. And Classes start in the month of July / August of the year.
