Note: The following description is based on the anime series and the two movies.
Daidouji Tomoyo, a fourth grader, studys at Tomoeda Elementary School, Class 4-2. Smart, capable, responsible, sweet, passionate, and nearly un-shakable, she is practically the perfect student, and is Sakura's distant cousin and best friend. She is the Tomoeda Elementary Choir's lead singer, having sung in many contests and various performances. She even enters in national contests as Tomoeda Elementary Choir's representative. Her voice is really beautiful, which even earned the attention of the Clow Cards, SONG and VOICE. In the anime, the songs performed and sung by Tomoyo are "Tomoe", "Yasashisa no Tane" and "Yora no Uta".
Ever alert and knowledgable about all that are happening in her sourroundings, she usually is the one who keep her cool while the others panic. When Sakura released the seal of the Book Of Clow and captured the FLY card, Tomoyo captured Sakura's "night flying trip" on her camcorder. It was the next day when Tomoyo revealed the tape to Sakura that made Sakura revealed her secret to Tomoyo. From then on, Tomoyo decided to continue video-record Sakura's capturing of Clow Cards. Several times, when faced with strange things happened and were labelled the doings of a ghost, Naoko and her friends (Sakura and Tomoyo included) would panic and start to run, while Tomoyo is usually the one getting dragged along, wondering what actually happened. Always the calm, curious, and analytical one, it was Tomoyo that often wake Sakura from her fright of ghosts, and make her realise that it was the doings of a Clow Card.
