2009 Opportunity Quilt
Win this beautful quilt! Raffle tickets are: $1 for one $5 for six
The 2009 Opportunity Quilt, Baltimore Goes Dutch, was designed using blocks from the book "Baltimore's Country Cousins" by Susan McKelvey.
A team of quilters, headed by Cookie Braunschweig, created this year’s quilt. The blocks are all done with hand appliqué and finished with machine quilting done in a traditional cross-hatch design.
The hand appliqué team included Shirley Eldredge, Martha Phillips, Barb Haymond, Barbara Robbins, and Cookie Braunschweig.
Barb Haymond not only worked on the hand appliqué; she also planned on doing the machine quilting. Illness kept Barb from doing the quilting so Cheryl Ehlman stepped in and did the quilting that Barb had planned. Barb, this quilt is for you! Get better soon.
The quilt will be raffled off at our December business meeting in 2009. You need not be present to win.
Proceeds support the Sierra Gold Quilters Guild, who in turn supports many local charities in our community.
