Watch out! You might melt!

- Ryuu

I walked into the store yesterday, in hopes of grabbing a bottle of shampoo, paying, and walking back out. A simple bottle of shampoo, that is all I asked.

In the place of my shampoo, I saw something different. Something new. Just for men.

Now, I have nothing against men looking nice and giving time to their appearance, but why do we suddenly have “Men only” Shampoos? I don’t see any “Women only” shampoos. Will the men melt if they use something we use? What’s more, the price of this “Men only” shampoo is twice the price of the normal stuff. Does the smell really matter that much?

I will admit it; I am not a man. I do not know about these manly things. Despite my lack of male parts, I still think it makes more sense to get an unscented shampoo, or a shampoo made for girls, if it is cheaper. If the smell matters so very much, they should just bathe in colonge. Half the male population does anyway.

Shampoo and pretty hair is something the males I know have become more and more obsessed with. The more expensive the product, the better the product works, even if they know differently. Shampoo commercials convince us all to buy the “men only” shampoos as if sex matters when it comes to the kind of hair we have.

I have an important announcement. I have the same hair type as my older brother. Yes, I admit it, I have the same hair type as a boy. We use the same shampoo. Guess what else? Women are still attracted to him, and men are still attracted to me.

So to all my men, I propose a challenge. Go out and buy shampoo not specifically for men, and see how your hair feels. If it is any different than your expensive brand name stuff, I am willing to pay for the bottle.
