Kastro |
Kastro is the most ancient village of Sifnos with an interesting museum. It is built like a castle with a few entrances to the village.Is build on the top of the hill and the houses are small and close to each other and is a fantastic for the architecture. Walking at the small roads of Kastro you will be wondering how everything is squezed here. |
Only 3 kilometres from Apollonia makes the walk a pleasure. Kastro is not the best place of Sifnos for swimming but if you like diving from the rocks you will realy love it here. On the right of Kastro you will find Seralia beach a realy small with some fish tevernas. At the left site you can walk to "Panagia Poulati" wich is also a rocky place for swimming but also very nice.Hotels and rooms are available here if you want to feel the past of the island. At the restaurants you can enjoy an afternoon ouzo after your walk around the village. |
