Update 13 Mahuru 2007
Well what to say 8 months since my last korero...its been one hua of a year, that's what! Some dramatic times for the welly crew and abroad it seems.

So on quick recap I saw a few of the ladies at 7s..i think! lol! The concourse at the Keke Tin is something else when 7s is on! Good to see Wellyz ladies representing in pandemonic style. Then in Poutu-te-rangi touch nats were at North Harbour and there was a few of us on the paddock representing Wellyz there too...ka pai us, pushing purei and all =). April through to now, we've had more additions to our whanau..yaaaah! big loves and huggles to our new iramutu =), we've had some of us move further abroad, get new jobs...you know, living life so again..ka pai us! Anyways, this was really a stop by to say I ain't forgot us, its just been a hectic few months...have to say they must be good for the wairua tho huh.

And finally...welcome to the 30's club those of us that clicked over the decade, come on to the few left...come on over soon =) keep our babies rolling in please! catch ya's on bebo sometime, xox

Update 13 Kohitaatea 2007
Happy dubiloh 7 gals! So yip here we go, another year dusted, another year ahead of us. Since the last update, well, lots of interesting stuff in between but lets leave that for another day and cut straight to Xmas. Us welly gals had our farewell to Courtney Plc the weekend before xmas. We rondayvued for our poroporoaki, hit that dance floor and shaked that thang of course. After xmas I picked up Ari and we headed up the coast before NYs to hostess w da mostess Kelly E. Put our mark on the Gizzy dancefloor on landing...next day we headed up to Ru Uawa to be serenaded by Arijah, Katchafire, Auntie Renee me era atu. Caught up with heaps of the coastie girls before busting it back to Gizzy that same night...had to share ourselves around of course. So good to see the ladies tho. Big k.o's to Kelly E for driving us that night, tx hun! We busted up to Rua a coupla days later for Pah Wars. Stayed with our beautiful Mi who cooked us up a bomb-a kai then left us to our devices...nice Mi... we did a shimmy on the touch field then headed back to Tolaga for a quick beer then Gizzy goz we know we were being missed on that d.floor... Day whatevers the sun decided to shine which was lucky coz coz I was on the edge of being pithed off and about to have a word with Tamanui. So we got some rays, a tan even...moaned that it was too hot...went down to the beach, did some resolutions of sorts...remember make no promises that ya just can't keep ladies... Busted around Gizzy doing our thing until time for us to depart on various days back to the dreaded mahi and life on the other side...beh.

So ladies, that's a snapshot of our xmas happy holis... me pehea ou koutou hararei? Hope it was a good one filled with loved ones, good times, primo kai and some hemi bond resolutions for 007. much love... lady li.

Update 2 Mahuru 2006
So ladies, we are starting to get a little older now and facing the dreaded 3-oh. Well us welly gals celebrated with Miss Krystal Fain Warren's 30ths in style mid Akuhata, our first pioneer of the new decade coming upon us. Had a mini reunion on the Friday night at Ana Torouka's whare and showed our piks from our weddings and holiday on big screen. Was the bestest ever!! Then we all busted into town for a karaoke party at an inner city apartment...impressed ppl with the SJC rendition of "aint no mountain high enough" with co-ordinated actions n all. Finished off the night busting our moves at Jet bar on Courtney Pl around 4am.

Had to e oho kotiro ma far too early for any of our likings on the Saturday but things to do, ppl to see and greasies to eat. Later that evening we started where we finished off with dinner at Masala, drinks up at Kelburn overlooking the city, hip hop night at Sandwiches and burning the floor along our beloved Courtney Pl to crawl through the door like we were still 16 at 7am in the morning. Ahhh welcome to the dirty thirties ladies and may be we have many more bashes with as much vigour as we can possibly muster =).

And just finally a big ups to Jonnie B for her blogs of her travels around Europe. Kia ora to you GF! Loving the lovin...

Update 10 Hongongoi 2006
Aue a whole year and no update to this site!! A whole heck of a lot has happened in that time including us Welly girls at least having a damn good time and owning that dance floor in Courtenay Pl. We had another rocking 7s come and go from Welly, Fat Freddy's sing live and for free in Petone, Ari returned from her OE in Jan, Riss come home from being Miss PE at SJC and took on the tough Porirua College kids, Sarah went permie at TPK, Kelly graduated her course as did Len who got her masters, Miffy moved to Kaikoura, reconnected briefly with Janine (where are you gf? long time no hear) went our various bdays with only a couple more go for the year, we paid our respects at Ubz papa's and Jonnie B's koro's tangi, went to Rome & Ric's marena in Easter (photos) which was like a mini reunion. We cracked a few wai at the wedding and even got a tear from Rome when doing our final number Te Hokinga Mai. Krystal and I just got back from Fiji (photos) and in a couple of weekends time us Welly girls are gonna have a bit of a movie night to catch up on all our piks. That's it in a nutshell with many a good wine and food consumed in between.

In Sept or Oct, Sept I think is the SJC reunion to so if you ain't got the details and wanna go ring the kura I spose. Might see you there...

Update 08 Hongongoi 2005
I was sadly reminded a little while ago that yes girls... we are now knocking on 30 which I don't know about y'all but personally I'm not too happy about.  Not quite ready to worry about wrinkles and what have you but will be grateful that cheap n nasty is a thing of the past and there should only be more great wine to experience!  that's something right...?

So what've I got to update you lovelies with?  Well I should brag that a few Welly based aunties got to meet lil miss Reia Kiritapu back from Sydney to kick in Upper Hutt for a while.  Also I got to have a chit chat via email with our lovely own Tia Maria.  Those of you who are curious, Tia is still kicking it in Dannyjerk but now with 3 bubbies... youngest 8mths.  What else.. oh yeah, miss Sarah Pohatu has been living just round the kokona from me keeping Welly on its toes.  Actually I think we could almost say it was the other way round after doing a 21km marathon but we'll just keep that on the downlow aye Seah.  Miss Maringi visited us here in Welly earlier this year too and lucky I had an excuse or I had a sore head the next day too aye Kell and Ari.  Now to move to other parts of the motu ... unsurprisingly Miss Krystal Warren graduated from Massey just last month.  And check out AK based www.soulbubba.com for some retro rags for your tamariki and while you are there take a guess and who's the mastermind behind this one!

One last thing.  Tis group comps is tomorrow and while I'll be watching the AB's kick nono again...  Hine Marie, Tomairangi, Te Reo Rangahau, Rapukahurangi, Te Ao Marama, Hine Ngakau ... go hard kötiro mä!

Update 10 Hui Tänguru 2005
No particular words of wisdom to offer you all mo te tau hou o nga hainamana other than 'that was Zen; this is Tao'. Okay okay a sad joke I know but its late alright!

On reflection of the past couple months, there's been some business people again forging whanau, babies alike. Not to mention a few old kanohi I keep banging into. After being off my radar for a coupla years atleast, I happened to bang into Miss Hakiwai at Coyote's on NYE, the Jackson St Fiesta and Te Ra o te Raukura. 3 hits in just over a month was astounding considering the drought.

However having the pleasure of Mattie Taiwhati waking me from my post-boogie night afternoon siesta over the xmas hollies with 2 beautiful girls in tow topped it I reckon.

On the contrary, I seemed to miss catching up with Lillith despite our txting efforts to be in the same place/time. It was Welly 7's afterall and for anyone who wants great party pandemonium, come on down next year and you'll never miss it again. Actually i'd like to take this oppo to say thanks to the hainamana for their fireworks display... 'twas the shizzle.

Just a final mea before I ramble here again in some undeterminable amount of time, our very own Speedy Kerei is speeding her way around the SJC paddock again. Bestest of luck and I only hope you don't met any girls that were half as bad-ass as we were when it came to resisting P.E.

Update 24 Häkihea 2004
Another Christmas has crept up and once again I find myself slipping in a last minute mihi, wine in hand an all. This time though I've a little more than the usual christmas cheer to offer up. Here's a couple of photos (excuse the download time for those of you in te waps but quality has its price!) from last weekend where Miss Tuhura married her leprachaun and become Googsie Madden! It was a great affair. For the first time in about 10 years I found myself back in the chapel and you may be pleased to know that not a thing in there has changed. Well only the song books which have had an upgrade... Also check out the newly decked marion steps in the photo on the left. Stocking rippers for sure! =]

I should also mention another marenatanga coming up - our lovely Trish Davis is getting married on NY's eve at Te Taua marae in AK. There's a few of the gals who can make that one to which I am very jelly. Best of wedding luck Trish!

Just quickly I got some more photos that I've been sent too. Haven't forgot these, just haven't had much time to do much of much so soz about that. I'll get those posted on this site sometime in the new year I hope.

And finally, yes finally, a most quick reflection on the year that was as I doubt I'll get an update in before the month is out and pakeha new years is in... overall the weather was rubbish but we survived. It has to count for something ngä hoa kòhine! We also got Mäori TV so that was about damn time.

Well girls, i runga i te wä Kirihimete ka tukua e au he mihi ano ki a tätou. As always 2005 turn it up! Christmas huggles and bubbles to all; stay safe and stay gold.

Update 11 Whiringä ä Nuku
Well its been a while like usual.... Few more of us producing and seducing since my last update which is just great. Extending the whänau whänui and all. All you touch lovers too - you've got until Tues 26 o Whiringä ä Nuku to sign up to this touch tournie: www.funinthesun-touchrugby.co.nz being held at the end of the month and being run by an ex-SJC gurl. Hope to see ya's there!

Update 8 Pipiri
For all of ya all who were in the hikoi at Poneke last month you know you witnessed something great and borderline surreal! In my lifetime I don't think I have ever seen so many kin since the opening of Te Maori in AK. Talk about spiritual enlightenment on your lunch break. Coz I already work at Parly end of town, I got to see ngä ope roll on in and the sight from above too was incredible and pretty damn awe inspiring. Here's a coupla PXT's from the mix:

Update 1 Paenga Whäwhä
Nice to see a bit of hey-ya on this site over the last what have you. Well unless you're been living under a toka, Maori Television is up in here - between Marae DIY and Kai Time I just can't get enough! So with Te Aranga just around the kokonga, I can't think of a better time to tune in, sit back and enjoy us!
