The New Alice was given a cruise into the unknown for her quinceañera by her foster parents the Maccabees.
The cruise ship was smashed to pieces on the razor-sharp shoals of an unknown atoll surrounding an unknown island.
The crew and passengers were devoured by parasitic sea cucumbers.
Alice alone managed to survive.
It soon became apparent to Alice that she was not welcome on this island. Someone or something had left a flaming monstrosity as a greeting - or a warning.
As Alice continued to walk inland, she finally came upon a bed full of Monsters. She attempted to ask them about the sinister warning on the beach, but they paid her no mind, bouncing and bouncing as the bedsprings made eerie music.
