Fountain of Youth

RV Park by the Salton Sea - Page 1

We had to wait over the weekend for the truck repairs to be completed so we drove 50 miles north to the Salton Sea and stayed at the "Fountain of Youth" RV Park. There were four natural hot spring pools there and two swimming pools. There are 850 sites at the park - 450 for permanent residences and 400 for shorter term visitors (RVs). The park is located at the base of the chocolate mountains (a bombing practice area) and overlooks the Salton Sea to the west.

This is the newest hot spring pool (3 years old). It has a waterfall. It was our favorite one.

Here is another popular hotspring pool. Cliff is checking it out.

There is a lot of jet action in this pool

It also has nice shade on a hot day

We checked out the bocci ball courts.

The game looks simple enough, but we didn't try it.
