With the increasing interest in shows and new bands becoming
members every day, we cannot handle the work load with our limited volunteer
staff. The list below are the openings needed for various parts of the
company. If you can help with something that does not appear on the list,
contact us anyway and tell us how you can help. If you love music as much
as we do then join the family.

Writers
Needed for band review section to review local bands
who are SLM members.
Duties: Go to shows to see member bands; interview
band members; write reviews.

Photographers
Needed to take pictures at events and pictures for band
web sites.
Duties: Take pictures at SLM events; photograph
band members; misc. photography.
Requirements: Must have own camera, (digital preferred)
and way to transfer pictures into a digital form for use on website.

Web Masters
Help with day to day operations and some new page additions.
Duties: Perform updates, design and publish new
member pages; put together new sections and perform html maintenance on
old
Requirements: must have own computer and access
to internet; basic html knowledge; java, C++ knowledge a plus.

Full Staff for new eNewsletter
Editors, writers, designers, etc. needed for new local
music newsletter in the works. The plan for the newsletter is for it to
be first on the net and then produced in paper form.

Sponsor Coordinator
Needed help work with the sponsors of events.
Duties: make sure sponsorship material is up at
events. Handle any issues with the sponsors. Keep track of sponsorship
records. Coordinate sponsorship material on posters, press releases, T-shirts
etc.
Requirements: Must have good people skills, own
a computer for record keeping, and have dedication to job completion.

Security personnel
For providing security at SLM events.
Duties: Make sure patrons do not get in to events
without paying. Enforce SLM policies along with facility rules. Watch over
band equipment.

General Help
Needed for various things needed done for preparation
for events and during events.
Duties: Assist in the set up of tables, chairs,
staging, lighting, sound equipment. Putting up signs, fliers, posters,
and other promotional material. Take down clean up of event facility.

Ticket Takers
Needed to sit at door and take tickets/money from patrons.
Duties: Take tickets/money from patrons entering
events. Stamp hands of paid patrons and check for hand stamps on patrons
that reenter.
