Well, that's kind of difficult to say. As a young child in grade school, I always had a love for
writing and using my imagination. I remember that the school had these yearly "tests" in which
we had to look at a paragraph, and then make up our own story. I remember one year when I was in
5th grade, we had one of those. Now mind you... the highest score you can get on one of those is a 16. My teacher, Mr. Williams, made an announcement to the class that I received a perfect score. I was so very
embarrassed, but from that moment on, a fire was sparked within my heart. I started to watch movies and try to
make them into my own. Did any of you ever watch Alan Quartermain (I think I spelled that wrong... oh, well!) and the Lost City of Gold? Well, when I was in 6th grade, I tried to make it into my own story. I had a good friend in school then, her name was Sashta Way, and she also liked to write. She greatly enjoyed the story for what it was.
As the years rolled by, I stopped trying to copy movies and tried to make up my own stories. I even began to create my own characters. At this time, I had also started using musical artists that I had crushes on as some of the characters in my stories... people like members of New Kids on the Block -- Joey Mcintyre for example ... and I'd included friends of mine as other characters (with me as the main female character, of course). Two friends I was acquainted with in 7th and 8th grade (Nicole A. and Stephanie D.) frequently were in stories of mine. In a series of stories I created with three members of NKOTB (Jordan Knight, Danny Wood, and Joey Mcintyre), the three of us (me, Nicole, and Stephanie) had just graduated high school and had tickets to one of their concerts down in Lake Placid, NY. After the concert, in which we arrive early and sneak into the building where the group members are having sound checks, we leave a demo tape of our own with Maurice Starr. Mind you, we are disguised as prominent up and coming promotors for young girl-groups. *LOL* He enjoys there music a lot (BIG SURPRISE!)... Then, later on those three members of NKOTB help the three of us with our group name: Coca Cola? Magic. I have a series of stories (adventures) with these six individuals. They meet again and again... and relationships develop. There's one story I started years ago, that I have yet to finish... maybe someday though. I even wrote a couple of songs for the ficticious group, and I drew costumes and a logo for the group as well. I had great fun with it.
Then as I got older, I started writing poems, but I continued with my stories, often instilling romance
with adventure. I still do that, as you can see from the many works I have posted below. As it is most definitely clear if you make it a point to read the stories I have posted, I actually started creating ficticious characters instead of making real people do whatever I wanted. It's easier to write a story about people you don't know that it is to write about people you DO know... and no one gets offended... *MUAHAHAAAA* Most of the stories
I have started are, unfortunately, not finished. I hope to finish them someday, but I have a sneaking suspicion
that they'll just be thrown away.... though there are a few stories that I think might have possibilities for publication. The thing is... I just have so many ideas in my head that I desperately want to jot down (20 or more pages) on paper, in my computer! But then I hit the infamous WRITER'S BLOCK. I have well over 200 stories started, and only a handful of them are finished, including all the ones listed below. One day... maybe you'll see my name on a bookshelf in a bookstore under romance... or fantasy... or adventure. As I've said many times before in reference to many of my stories: "A story is only as good as the fantasies in the mind of the author, the adventure hiding in her soul, and the romance lurking deep within her heart..." Well, okay... so I just thought of that saying... but I like it!
