Fork in the road for George George Graham has yet to establish himself with the Spurs faithful and for good reason. His teams are boring which can be effective as well, dont get me wrong....remember they didn't concede a goal for 4 games.Problem was they forgot to score as well. So come Sunday's game against West Ham, Graham will have another chance to set the season straight.He takes a team that has lost its last two Premiership games, including their undefeated home record, injuries to five key players which will rule them out and doubts over the availability of key players next season as they begin to renegotiate their contracts. In short Spurs approach this game at the worst possible time.The only reason why fans are optimistic about Spurs chances is because ,yes...because the year ends in 01.It would be an uphill struggle against a West Ham team playing at home who will probably welcome back Michael Carrick and Jole Cole to partner Frank Lampard in the middle of the park.Don't forget Messrs Kanoute and Di Canio. Which brings me back to George.Fair credit to the man.He has introduced some promising young talents to the rough and tumble of first team football.With Ledly King, Alton Thelwell,Luke Young,Stephen Clemence and Gary Docherty, Graham has began to lay a foundation not too disimilar to what he initited at Leeds some years ago with the likes of Kewell,Harte,Bowyer,Woodgate and Ian Smith. Look where they are now .All he needs now is some good signings to play alonside and guide these young players. In the past Graham has convienently blamed his lack of quality signings on UEFA for not resolving the transfer deadlock.Well all that has been cleared and the rules now clearly stipulate where both club and player stand.ENIC, which took over the club, have to come forth with cash and rebuild this team. I do not want to paint a doomsday scenario but should Sundays result not go our way...then I think I certainly think Graham has to go and maybe some of the other players like maybe Campbell,Ferdinand and Anderton ...maybe what Spurs really need is a clean break from all these players and George.
