Born in Royal Oak, Michigan in 1958 Bruce Campbell started acting in his early teens. He then studied drama at Western Michigan University and then went to work at a commercials company with his friend, Sam Raimi.

Bruce Campbell plays the part of Ashley J Williams in all three Evil Dead films. At the moment he writes, produces and directs for television. He reguarly features in Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He previously starred in the series The Adventures of Brisco County Jnr from 93-94 and Ellen in 96. He also does computer game voices.

In my opinion, he is one of the most underrated actors in the business today.
