My Trip to Al's Wedding |

Friday morning: Golf

Nothing like scheduling at early golf tee time right after late night bachelor party. We made it there on time. We play at a very nice course, Northstar-at-Tahoe. I was all set to play. I had my dry bagel and water for breakfast, nice rental clubs, and 2 dozen golf balls that had been found around the bushes of my parent's house ( They live on 17th tee). In addition I brought official Motorola golf balls. Hey, Motorola will reimburse me for the green fees so I felt obliged to use their golf balls (at least for putting since they were my only new golf balls). Michael had no collar shirt but we snuck him on the course anyway. Sorry, Michael but you get a 2 stroke penalty for that. Somehow I don't have our final scores. I actually almost got par on a hole (boogie - had makeable par putt though). Putting was OK, tee shots were terrible. I did better after some pointers from Paul. Obviously lobbyists know how to play golf. How many free golf outings at taxpayer's expense have we been on, Paul? Between Michael and I, we went through all my old golf balls and a few range balls. I stopped hitting tee shots with two holes to play because we were running out of golf balls. I only hit one house - sliced a 3 wood off the tee - good solid thump - I decided not to retrieve that ball.
Michael - long drive of that hole.
Al on the tee.
