The Wedding
What a beautiful day it was.... I felt just like a princess. On March 16, 2002 at 6:00 pm Sam and I
exchanged wedding vows in our Church " First Christain Church Of Athens".
Both of us have been married twice already but neither of us have been married in a church.
It really meant a lot to us to take our final step together in front of God, our families and friends.
Sam played his guitar and sang "Stand by me".
while our girls "Samantha and Megan, his siter in-law "Clairice" and great niece "Sarah Kaye" walked down the asile.
Must I also add Sam's brother Kenny was the best man and waited for us at the end of the asile.
Than came me , When he looked at me I really thought he was going to run out the door behind
him and I would have to pick up my dress and run after him (smile) but, he did ok. He sang and I walked
that final strip of the asile to meet the love of my life my husband to be.
When we got to the alter and my dad was about the hand me over to Sam I pulled a trick on them....
See from the begining my dad and Sam have played jokes on me. Like the first time Sam brought me
flowers I was not home so he gave them to my dad instead, and they are always playing jokes on me So
when my dad started to give me to Sam I pushed my dad's hand to Sam's instead of mine to his....They both
did not get it at first but when they caught on they both laughed and so did Brother Don Wilson who already
knew it was going to take place." I am sure others there could not understand why we were laughing, now you know"(smile)
As I parted with my Daddy one more time and took the hand of my future husband, I could
not help to notice the look in his eyes. He had a look of love and warmth and I could see
how deep in thought he was. We started with a prayer which meant so much to me.
Hand in hand we prayed and it was the first time we, as a couple prayed together.
For us this was truely a magical moment.
We than exchanged our vows to each other and said our I do,
We promised to be there for each other through the good times and the bad,
to stay true to each other and to be each other's best friend.
(I will soon add a copy of our vows)
The rings were something special to us as well. We went together to pick out the set.
They are gold bands with crosses on each side. We felt with the way we were going
to get married in our church and how we truely felt someone upstairs lead us to each other
it is a symbol of our undying, unconitional love we have for each other. The true unending circles
of our faith for one another...
Than the best part, We were finally announced to be husband and wife and we got to finally
kiss one another.... I had already been waiting 30 mins or so to do this and now was my chance
well let's just say it was'nt a short one (smile) Sam was shaking through out the whole thing
and all I wanted to do was hold him and tell him it was ok and that I loved him and finally I was
able to do it.

Sam say's this really is not the final kiss
We are still kissing and always will be :-)
As we stood before our families and friends we both had a sense of finally being complete in our lives.
We have search the world over to find our one and only true soul mate and here we were,
we took that final step to be with each other for a life time and beyond.
We had some other photos taken here is a few:
