Music Ministry at St. Michael

Martin Luther once said that "Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise." At St. Michael we strive to make music a vital part of our worship life, believing that music greatly enhances worship. It also provides a great avenue for fellowship for those involved in our music groups.

We have three choirs at St. Michael which provide music for our worship services from September through May and are open to any interested singers.

Our "Lord's Choir" consists of kids who are first through sixth grade and rehearse on Wednesday evening.

Our Jr./Sr. High choir is for youth seventh through twelfth grade and rehearses on Sunday evening.

Our "Chancel Choir" is for any adults who have a desire to sing and can carry a tune. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings.

In addition to our three choirs, our worship team provides music and worship leadership for our contemporary worship service each Sunday and occasionally provides special music for other events. The worship team includes a keyboard player, guitar players, a drummer and vocalists.

Music is also a part of Vacation Bible School each summer, with the children performing a musical program for parents each year at the end of the week.
