BYRD'S OLDER GUITARS
This page is to show you James' earlier guitars, the electrics were used from the Fifth Angel and Atlantis Rising era, whilst the acoustics are used still to this day.
FENDER ULTRA STRAT - LIPSTICK TUBE PICKUPS: Used on the following tracks - 'Why Have You Forsaken Me', 'Mourning World Blues' [OCTOGLOMERATE], clean solo 'Son Of Man' [SON OF MAN], 'Dolly Dagger' and 'Taking The Long Road Home' [THE APOCALYPSE CHIME]. The Lipstick pickups help produce a slightly more grittier single coil tone. James now longer owns this guitar.

ACOUSTIC GUITARS
These two acoustic guitars are still used today for Byrd's recordings.

IBANEZ LONE STAR NYLON STRING ELECTRO ACOUSTIC: This bizarre looking guitar is Byrd's main classical acoustic. It can be heard on 'In My Fathers House' [Son Of Man] and 'In My Darkest Hour' [Crimes Of Virtuosity] doubling the ESP Eclipse.
