Today wasn't a very good day. I went to school. Joe sprained his ankle real bad in P.E. I hope he's okay. He probably won't be there tomarrow. Poor guy. He's sweet.
Our rotten bus was late. I didn't get home till about 4:15! Got 1 letter in the mail. I have over 15 pen-pals!
Called Buster. We had a nice little talk. But, I think I'll quit buggin' him 4 awhile.
I wish something thrilling would happen. Such a boring life I lead! I wish Joe knew I'm alive! I dreamed about him last night. But in real life he don't even know who I am!

Thursday, February 2, 1978

Today was rather nice! Joe was at school using a crutch for his poor right foot. Yesterday, I wrote on his locker for him to get better. Went by it today & he wrote back on it, "I'm not interested!" Hmmm ... There was an assembly with a singing group. A ugly guy came up & sang by me! They sang "LWKUT"!
I had to call Buz tonight to tell him that we're going to Ark. for sure this weekend! He said to have fun. I called him "hun."
They say Mr. Groundhog saw his shadow. That's supposed to mean a longer winter, right? Aw, what does a stupid groundhog know!!?!

Go to Mt. View?

Today was a pretty good day. Left home around 5 this morning & got here at 3:15. Took a shower & washed my hair.
Ate at the rainbow cafe.
Got a spoon ring for me & a valentine card for Buster.
Then came back to motel.
I'm watching Donny & Marie now. At 8:00 is a movie with foxy Richard Hatch!
It's much warmer here than at home!
The movie with Richard was gr-8! He's such a good actor! And so, so, so, handsome!!

Saturday, February 4, 1978

Went to Rainbow & ate breakfast.Mom & dad found a house that they are planning to buy. But I didn't see it. I stayed in the motel & watched t.v.We went to a food store & I got 2 mags.The temp is so nice! Somewhere around 40! And the sun shone all day long!! Wonder what it's like back home? Hope I got lotsa mail. We're leavin' super early tomarrow morn. So, I have to pack up my stuff pretty soon here.

Got home around 2 o'clock.
Only 3 letters in mail. It's much colder here.
Watched ABC's 25th Anniversary show for the whole 4 hours. Daryl & Toni were only on for about a minute! And Pooh said 3 or 4 words! This show was taped before he got all of his hair cut off! It was pretty long and mighty, darn cute! He's a real hunk!!!!!!!
Well, tomarrow it's back to school. I'll havta call Buster and ask how his weekend was.
C&T are number 1!

Monday, February 6, 1978

24 more days! Got Gradeslips an A-, B+, C+, D+. Buz has mustache back now.

Went to school. Big deal! Got 2 letters and a tape in the mail.
Called Buster. We talked through 2 songs. Talked about how the weekend was. He was talking in his cute little duck voice tonight! New Dolly joke: Poor Dolly, can't even see if her shoes need polishing or not! He's funny!
Heard a joke at school, What's big, brown, round & sits on a piano bench? Beetoven's last movement!!
Looked in '75 & '76 yearbooks at Joe's frosh & soph pics. Looked bad. He had long hair! Mustache in '76, none in '75. His hair was lighter back then. Parted on side.

I've decided not to call Buz as often no more. I think he's sick of me & he won't even play my requests!
Nothing exciting at prison. Didn't get no mail. Better get some tomarrow! Oh, "Pick" did a cartwheel right in front of the teacher in study hall! He didn't even notice! So she did a headstand & fell on her back on the floor. He noticed that! She's really hilarious! Just cracks me up!
Called Buz just for a sec, & requested "LWKUT." I told him he was sweet!
Richard is on the Rookies tonight! Damn it! It ain't on till 10:30. My parents won't let me stay up! I hate it! I'm almost 15 & they won't let me do anything!

Today I actually walked up to Joe & asked to borrow his calculator!!!! Him & some other seniors were playing craps on it, so I sat by him & waited till they were done! He even talked to me!! I'll never know how I ever got up the guts!! Did watch Rookies last night! Ha, ha! Got no mail. Went to Doc's, but he wasn't there! Got a mag with poster of Andy with no shirt! FOX! On my wall, now!
Do you believe I did that? I asked if I could borrow it! He said "Yeah, we're playing a game on it, just a sec."So I sat down right there & watched! Then he gave it to me & said, "Ya have to turn it off to clear it. I have to get a new calculator one a these days." He smiled at me! What's funny, is, I didn't really have a problem to do!!!

Buz dedicated a song to me!!
no mail today. I better get some tomarrow!!
Today was nothing special at prison! Joe wasn't there! We had a pep assembly.
Guess who was on All Star Anything Goes? The DeFrancos!!! I haven't seen them for such a long time! Tony is even foxier now! So grown up!!!!
Tonight I DIDN'T call Buster!! How could I? I was on the phone with Stacey for 2 hours! I thought she would never shut up! She must have told me her complete unabridged autobiography! Not only that, she also sat & read to me a few chapters of the book she's reading! She wants me to come over to her house tomarrow, but I've already made plans to go to the mall with Jennie!

Saturday, February 11, 1978

Boy, it's nice to be back home in my room. I've been out all day. First, me & ma went shopping from 10:30 to 1:45. Then I called Buz & we had a nice talk. Right after that, Stacey called and asked me to come over. So, I went there till 'bout 5:15. I missed almost all of Buster! Darn it!!!! Do you believe I didn't get no mail today either!? It's been 4 days!!! It's been 23 days since I talked to Lisa! Do you believe it? When I said I was mad, I meant it!! I saw my science teacher at the mall. He's gross! So's his wife!

Sunday, February 12, 1978

Today wasn't such a boring Sunday! I went to the mall with Stacey. I met Mikes girlfriend. She was cute & seemed very friendly. I spent every last cent of my money. I bought a mag with 2 pin-ups, 11 pics, and an interview of Andy! One of the pin-ups, he doesn't have a shirt on! I love it!! Also bought, double dip of ice cream, a record cleaner, and a record called "Rich Girl." Ate 5 tacos and tied my old record! Drew a sketch of Andy. Turned out real good!!! Watched Burt Reynolds movie "Gator." Big winter storm watch for tonight & tomarrow. Accumulation is supposed to be 4 inches by tomarrow eve!!

Monday, February 13, 1978

Today, I woke up to the tune of a blizzard. Every school was closed but ours. When I got there, I had just enough time to remove my winter attire, before they announced that prison was closed. So, we got back out & came home! Got 1 letter in the mail. Called Buz, cause Mike said he dedicated "LWKUT" to me Fri. nite! Tonight he did it again! He can't say it's for a specific person any more, so he said, "a special request for Chillicothe, the Capt. & his pet toenail" Such a babe! I'll ask him to play it tomarrow for their anniversary!

Tuesday, February 14, 1978

C&T's 4th ANNIVERSARY!
Went to school. Wore my whole C&T get up! Got 1 letter. Called Buz. He said thankx for the card it's the only one he got! Least I know he's "eligible."
Tomarrow I'm goin' with ma on a bus trip to Springfield. No school!
Mike asked if I wanted to go skating with him & Chris. I would've, but, well just didn't want to tonight!

Wednesday, February 15, 1978

Went on a bus trip to Springfield. Met Sen. Prescott Bloom & Governor Tomson! Went to a great big mall there too! Got a real pooh-bear, & I finally got Andy's album!! Also, I got the B.G.'s single "Stayin' Alive" We had a lot of fun! Mr. Bloom was a cutie!
Got a letter from a new pen-pal.
The temp is 12. We're expecting more snow. Fine with me!
Buz was on a wierd shift, & he was off by the time I got home! Oh well, what the hell?

Went to school. Big deal!
Mike had his first day on a new job today. Has something to do with computers.
Got 2 letters & one tape.
Called Buster. We talked for awhile. He'll try to play my song. Told him I might not call tomarrow night cuz I'm gonna do some "partying." Really I'm just gonna spend the night at Pick's! Well...
A p.pal sent me a newspaper article that says Pooh is gonna bury all of his hats on their special March 20th!

Friday, February 17, 1978

no big deal at school. Got 3 letters
Staying all night at Jennie's. She just made a tornado in the blender! Called Buz. We talked for a long time. He even talked to Pick. He was in a super goofy mood. He played "LWKUT" 4 me! I called up & thanked him. We're watching a movie called, "3 on a Date" It's pretty good!!! We had pizza & now we're gonna have an orange shake. Yummy!
Joe wasn't at prison today. He wasn't there last Friday either.
A spider is crawling on the ceiling above us!
Buster was such a sweetie for us tonight!

Saturday, February 18, 1978

Got home about 10:45 this morning. We went to the mall. I got what I've been wanting for awhile; a silk Jockey's jacket! It's bright red. Really neato!! Looks just like the cool ones Andy wears!! I ate 2 tacos for lunch. Didn't get any mail. Darn!! Buz was on from noon 'till 5. I only got to listen to him for a little while. The Brems are over now. Daniel & Mary Jo didn't come. Mike has been gone all day! 12 days 'till my birthday! C&T are on the Midnight Special Friday. Stayed up & watched Saturday Nite Live with Chevy Chase. he's kinda cute!

Sunday, February 19, 1978

Another boring Sunday spent at home. Watched a skateboard competition on T.V. Changed my room around. It looks nice. The weekend jock is sick, so Buz is taking his place. Poor baby, didn't have a day off this weekend! I called him. He said to have a nice day at school tomarrow. I told him I'd try!
Supposed to get a little snow tonight & tomarrow. Watched Rhoda, On Our Own, All in The Family, Alice & Carol Burnett.
Listened to Buz till 11:30 at night. He was on 'till 1:00, But I fell asleep.

Monday, February 20, 1978

Stinky day at school. No mail, cuz it's George's B-day. Had snow flurries all day, but not enough to amount to anything. Joe was at school doing better than ever. As a matter of fact, he was singing to the mop in the hall! Didn't call Buz. Snuck Mike's diary & read it! Believe me, it's 100 times better than this one! So, if ya want some good reading, read his!!
The People's Choice Awards were on, but C&T weren't on it!
Hope they'll be on the Grammy Awards Thursday.
Don't worry, I ain't gonna tell no one what your diary said, Mike! So, don't tell no one what you read in mine! Hey! Get outta my diary!

Tuesday, February 21, 1978

Today at school, we picked out what classes we want to take next year. I put English II, Art I, painting & drawing, Adv. Typing, Housing, Drivers Ed. & maybe Mass Media! I was listening to KZ-93, when he played "LWKUT" I called Buz. He recognized me right off! Asked me how my day was. Said he thought of me when he put the record on. I said, "Aww, that's nice!" We talked awhile.
Got 3 letters in the mail. Went to Doc's. I start back on my pills tomarrow.

Wednesday, February 22, 1978

Today was soo dull! How dull was it? It was so dull, that you would have more fun counting each snowflake as it falls. I talked to my counselor & she said it would best for me to go to college! NO WAY JOSE!! I won't go!
Got 2 letters in the mail.
Didn't call Buster. Did a ton of Algebra homework. Yuck.
Went down to Convinient. Got mag with a not too good pic of C&T in it. Also had Andy in it.
Travelers adviseries for tonight & tomarrow. Buz said the roads are gonna be terrible.
Joe wore a salmon colored shirt today.

Thursday, February 23, 1978

Stayed home cuz I feel gross!! Got 1 pen-pal letter in the mail. The girl might call me next Friday on my b-day.
Listened to Buz from 6 to 7. Didn't call him.
Watched, "It's a Nightmare, Charlie Brown," Bugs Bunny Special. Then the Grammy awards. Daryl & Toni weren't on it. But Andy Gibb was. He wore a real flashy orange silk suit with sequins all over it!

Friday, February 24, 1978

Went to school. Big deal! Joe was a cutie today! Ain't he always? Got 2 letters.
Called Buz. He was very sweet to me tonight! He sound glad to hear me. He said, "This is Julie, right?" I said yep, and he said, "FAR OUT!" Of course we said more, but just thought I'd tell you that!!
The Midnight Special wasn't very good. C&T only did one song. And the show must be older than the crust in your underwear, cuz Pooh didn't have his mustache!
Next week (my b-day) they're gonna salute C&T on Midnight Spec!

Saturday, February 25, 1978

Went shopping. Got 2 mags with Andy in them. Got no mail. Called Sharolyn & talked. Unca Don & kids came over. Ate McDonalds for lunch. Listened to Buz. Called him.
Prescott Bloom was on the News.
Sandy called & asked me to go to the game with her. I went. Joe was there! Stopped at Sandy's house on way back. She made us a banana split.
Grandma gave me card, money, & buncha bookmarks with my name on them. Pretty official!
Watching Saturday Night Live now. Chevy Chase isn't on this time.
Gonna sit Chad on my b-day. Should be fun! I'll watch C&T up there.

Sunday, February 26, 1978

This wasn't such a boring Sunday.
Got up at 10:30. Made lasagna for lunch. Then we went to a movie at Westlake Cinema, called "High Anxiety." It was really hilarious!!
Came back home. Listen to records. Stacey called & I gabbed with her for awhile.
Watched Rhoda, On our own, All in The Family, Alice, the Carol Burnett Show.

Monday, February 27, 1978

Great day! At school, I gave all my friends an invitation to go to the mall together this Sat. Got 1 letter in the mail.
We went to Venture to get me a typing eraser. Guess what else I got!?!! An AM-FM Headphone Radio!!! I'm listening to Buz on it right now! Besides being a radio, you can plug it into the stereo, & use it for headphones!!!
I can tell this is gonna be one of the best weeks in my whole life!!!
Did call Buz. He was very sweet. He called me "babe"! It's been a long time since he did. Think we got something goin'?

Tuesday, February 28, 1978

Big woop at school! (sarcasm)! Got 1 letter in the mail. The snow is really coming down. Yuck!! Took Algebra Test. I know I got a F. Called Shar. I'm goin' Fri. at 5:45.
Had a wonderful talk with Buster! If ya wanna see it, look in my Junk drawer for the paper marked Feb. 28, 1978! I keep all my secret personal belongings in there!!
Watched Shields & Yarnell, 3's Company, and SOAP.
