What a fast year 1977 was. I
wonder if '78 will go by as quickly. If I were to judge by the
way today went, I would say no! I just sat around & answered
pen pal letters. Made a new mustache for my Daryl doll. The old
one fell off when I babysat at Bob's the other night! This one
is much better than the others! Looks more like the real one.
Well, how has my most revealing diary been so far?

2, 1978
Today was a real bummer! I'm actually looking forward to going
back to school tomarrow. I'll do anything to get out of here!
I've been griped at all day!
Went down to the store. Changed room.
Last night, on Carol Burnett they did the top songs of the past
11 years. Know what they did for '75? You guessed her, Chester!

3, 1978
school reconvenes
Well, went to school. But I got kinda woozy during 3rd hour,
so I had mom come get me. I'm feeling better now.
Got 2 letters in mail. One has a real foxy pic of Pooh in it.
Looking at it, makes me just wanna squeeze him. He looks like
he's fun to hug! Must be nice and cuddly to sleep with. Bet Toni
has fun! It would be cool to lay my head on his nice warm chest!
Wonder what he wears to bed?

4, 1978
Buster calls me "Love" and
"Hun"
Went to school. Got a tape from boy pen pal - Kevin.
Heard my d.j. Buster, had a cold so I called to see if he's okay.
He has a sore throat still, he said. But said he's feeling better.
That's good, cuz he is a wonderful person! Love that guy!
I wore my new C&T shirt to school, amazingly enough, there
was not one wise crack! A girl even said, "I like your shirt."

5, 1978
Normal day at school. No mail for me!
Called up Buster again tonight to see how he's feeling. Poor
guy. Says his throat & sinuses are killing him. Said when
he gets off work tonight, he'll bury them in salt water &
listerine. Such a sweetie.
Tonight's a game at the junior high. My old boyfriend who moved
to Morton, was gonna be there. But I ain't invited. Lisa's gonna
show him my new pic and get his phone # 4 me! 56 days till I'm
15!

Nothing exciting at school.
Called up Buster baby again. Told him he was sounding better.
He says he feels better. That's good, cuz I love him!
Got 3 letters. In one is 7$ cause I got a girl a Daryl doll.
This weekend I have 13 bucks to spend!

7, 1978
Got up about 8. Got 2 letters in mail. Went shopping. Didn't
bother Buster today. Amazing, huh? Got a T.B. Star with a sweet
pic of C&T. Pooh has his mustache. Watch Dracula last night.
Staying all night with Lisa. Played T.V. games, C&T dolls,
went to Con. got munchys, daryl's mustache fell off again, it's
on now, made a goofy tape, went to bed at 2:30. Tomarrow is gonna
be real boring. The wind is windy.

Taped to Kevin this morning. Today was boring. Buster was
not on. Sunday's are rotten. There's never anything to do! Lisa
is over. We played C&T dolls. Gosh I don't have anything
to say. I guess that Daryl is a fox! C&T are #1! yuck school

Freezing weather. Wind chill is -42! Dumb day at school. Called
Buster 2 times. He said I have a great voice for a d.j.! He was
eating butterscotch cookies. He is 5'8" tall. Good enough.
When I called, he said to me "Aw Julie, what would I do
without ya, babe?!" He called me babe!!! He feels ok now,
just tired! I mailed him a note 2-day & so did that stupid
copy-cat, Lisa! I wish she would quit trying to take Buster away!
I'm pissed at her!!!!!!!!

Got one pal letter!
He called me babe again!
Yucky day at school! Called Buster twice tonight too! He said
he got the picture I sent, & he'll send one when he gets
it. I asked what he thought of me & wasn't I ugly? He said
it was a good picture & noone is ugly! Isn't he nice?! He
said he'll arrange 4 me to see the station sometime! The weather
is very cold! This morning the wind chill was -51. Oh yeah, on
the radio he said "I'm stayin' alive 4 Julie of IVC. he
dedicated the song to me on the air!

11, 1978
Lousy day at school as usual. Girl gave
me a poster of Andy. Mom picked me up & I went to the doc's
to hear the result of my last blood test. Got a letter from Carol
Cicotti. It says: "Dear Julie, Just a note of thanks from
T&D for the poster of Broderick & Elizabeth. It meant
a great deal to them. Your continued support of T&D is most
appreciated. Hope the new year will be a good one 4 you."
Called Buster & talked 4 a little while. That stupid Lisa
is copying me again! She's gonna get her hair in a Tennille.
I hope it turns out rotten!

12, 1978
Another yucky day at school. It's been snowing all day &
is still coming down. My room is truly a disaster area &
should be condemned! Got 2 letters in mail. Called Buster. His
fave food is speghetti! Yum! He called me "babe" again!
I haven't been feeling too good lately. Coughing, sneezing my
stomach hurts & I get chills. Probably the same thing Buster
had! Hope we get out of school tomarrow cuz of snow! Well, better
get cleaning this room, or I won't get no allowance!

13, 1978
I can't believe it! This morning I was coughing & mom
popped up & said I better stay home! So I did! It's been
snowing all day. I have to stay in bed all weekend, so says ma.
Got no mail today. Had meatloaf and baked potatoes for supper.
Called Buster. He played "L.W.K.U.T." for me. Tonight
I called him "sweetheart!" He called me "hun"!
Didn't get my room cleaned. This weekend is going to be boring!
No shopping cuz of the snow! And no allowance.

Not feeling much better than yesterday. Got up at 10:00 to
listen to "Busbaby." Called him & talked a little.
Got 3 boring letters in mail. Lisa came over. I'm spending the
night at her house now. Went down to store and made fools of
ourselves. A real fruity guy was there. He slipped & made
us crack up!

I've got nausea! Ugh. Today was a total bore, just like all
Sundays are. I sat around. Went down to store with Lisa. Got
a mag. with a cute pic of Tony Orlando in it!
Buster
isn't on Sundays.
Watched "Willy Wonka &
the Chocolate Factory." Charlie Quin is on now. He's funny
too. But not as sweet as "BuzBaby."
Boy
does my throat hurt!
Didn't get my allowance
this weekend. My room is still a mess!
Supposed
to snow 1-3 inches tonight & tomarrow.

45 days till I'm 15!!
C&T
on American Music Awards!!!!
Well, today
I stayed home. But I have to go tomarrow! Got 2 letters in mail.
They buried H. Humphry today.
Called Buster.
I requested a song for Mike. He said, "I'll try to get it
on for ya babe!" So I said, "Okay, thanks, hun!"
ha, ha!
Tonight is the American Music Awards.
Perhaps C&T will be on it! THEY WERE!! C&T were on
it! Pooh had his mustache! He had a haircut but he looked
foxy as usual! Such broad shoulders! Framp wasn't on it (ha,
ha) Andy was on it too! But Daryl is best!

17, 1978
Think I bombed on Algebra test!
He called me Babe one more time.
Today
was a cruddy day. Got kicked out into the cold & it was off
to "prison" for me! But I still have a sore throat
and chills. My room is still a mess.
Buster was
on later than usual, cuz Hi is sick! On from 8
till 2! I called him. Told him I had spagetti for lunch, &
I thought of him when I got it! He said it was nice to know that
someone thinks of him once in awhile. I said "I think of
you alot."
I'm supposed to have an article
for the newspaper by Thursday noon. I haven't even started it
yet!
This week is semester tests, look out! Today
was the typing one. I think I did okay. Tomarrow is a science
test! Hello D-! Buster says "zip" for zero!

18, 1978
Mom still doesn't know I sent "Buz"
my picture
Scummy day at school. I got
a 44 on the Algebra test. Tomarrow is the semester one and I
forgot to bring my book home. Dumb!
Called Buster
and told him to tell me what he looks like. He has blondish brown
hair in an afro. Beard and mustache. Blue green eyes. He says
"Built like a football player, with broad shoulders and
a trim waist line." We talked for a long time.
I
still didn't get the article for the newspaper and the deadline
is tomarrow! Looks like the Fid has blown it again.
This
weekend we're gonna go to Mt. View as long as it don't snow.
Don't snow, don't snow.
Tonight is the Entertainer
of the year awards! Indeed, I must watch it! Who knows who could
be on it!
Picked up room some. It looks a bit
better. Not much.
Do you believe this, I can't
think of anything else to say! Well, I'm sorry. I know how much
you wanted to hear me blab on! Blab, blab, blab, blab, blab!

19, 1978
Now I see why one gives up their grade
school buddies when they get in high school! Cuz they're babies
I am pissed at the whole world tonight! First
of all we're not going to Mt. View tomarrow! So I have to go
to school. Shit!
Secondly, I called Buz up at
that dumb stupid Lisa's, and while I was talking to him, that
idiot was back there yelling all kinds of stuff like "Buster
is a twit," and "Julie loves Buster" so I yelled
back at her. And all that time, poor Buz was on the other end
of the line listen to me yell back at her. I just called him
back, and apologized, tried to straighten things out. He said
he isn't mad. But I sure am! At Lisa that is! I'm not talking
to her!
And now tomarrow I have to go back to
that damn school that I'm fed up with!
I did talk
to the guy, and I got my newspaper article in on time!
Lisa
makes me sick. I think she wants me to spend the night at her
house tomarrow. She can sit on her thumb and twirl.

D on Algebra & typing tests
End of 1st semester
Went to
school, big deal! I was in a super rotton mood till I went to
science & found I'm getting an A- this 9 weeks. The highest
grade in our class!
Didn't bug Buz tonight. Listened
to him from 6 till 8. At 8, I watched a movie "Bug"
about an invasion of giant cockroaches! Yuck!
Well,
today was a bummer! My article in the newspape, you could hardly
read it!

21, 1978
 Got up at 15 till
8, went shopping at mall & K-mart. Got a new lamp for my
room. And a magzine that is Just Leif Garrett!Didn't get any
mail. I didn't bother Buster today either! He ain't on tomarrow.Changed
around my room, Looks pretty good!Another boring weekend has
arrived.Got my picture taken in a booth. Turned out real good.
Monday we get out at 11:15. We also get our grade slips. Think
I'll call Buster Mon. night. Haven't talked to Lisa for 2 days!
I'm still mad at her!

22, 1978
I do believe that today has been the
boringest day in my life! I did nothing at all but lay around
and eat. Oh yeah, I did try a couple of times to win 20 bucks
from KZ-93. But no way! I never win anything!
The
only thing good about Sundays, are the evening TV Shows: Hardy
Boys, Rhoda, On Our Own, All In The Family, Alice, and Carol

1/2 Day of school
Today
was a darn good day. First, I saw Joe. And guess what, He shaved
off his beard!! Ooh, such a fox!! I got out of school at 11:15.
The classes only lasted 15 min. each! Then I went home. Mom got
me a hamburger and fries. Then we went to a store. I got 2 gr-8
mags! Then we went to the laundromat. Much better than being
at prison. And then we came back home. Oh yeah, I got one letter
in mail. Well, at about 6:45, I called "Buz". We talked
a long time! Through about 3 songs! We talked about being a d.j.,
Dolly, and the big disco, and about how i'll get to see him someday
soon! He said this summer at a drive-in! He's neat! When Mike
got off of work, we went to Shakey's for his b-day. I stuffed
myself with pizza and chicken. Good day

24, 1978
Well, today was lousy. In science, we learned how the sperm
fertilizes the egg! Whopee ding bat! Didn't get no mail.
Called Buster and talked for a lil' while. He played
my song.
We were supposed to get a big storm,
but it didn't come.
Hung up a gob of posters &
there ain't a bare spot on my walls.
Haven't talked
to Lisa for 5 days now. Guess she knows I'm still pissed.
I'm in a dull mood right now. Have been all day!

25, 1978
Today wasn't exactly a thriller itself. Nothing great at prison!
Got my picture taken with the newspaper staff & library aides
for the yearbook. Got 3 letters in the mail. Had "dog food"
supper. Buster shaved off his beard & mustache. He said he's
leaving the beard off, but is gonna start growin' back his mustache
tomarrow. I said that's good, cuz I love guys with mustaches!
He must be hairy! Yum-yum! FUZZIES! There's a blizzard warning
for tonight & tomarrow! YAY!! The wind is blowing the snow
around super-HARD!!

26, 1978
Guess what! There was no school cuz of the blowing snow! Got
3 letters in the mail. One gave me 2 real pics of C&T in
their limo after a concert!
I'm not gonna bug
Buz tonight. Not till Sat. at least! He must be sick of me by
now!
Well, it's been a week since I talked to
Lisa. Guess we're not friends anymore! And I've found out, who
needs her?
It's 6:00 and Buster's on now. This
diary will never make the best seller list!

Started out a crummy day. Went to school. Got no mail.
Foxy Andy Gibb was on Donny & Marie. Such a hunk!
Called Buz & talked a little while. He wants
me to call him tomarrow.
Guess what?! THE CAPTAIN
& TENNILLE are gonna be on Carol Burnett this Sunday night!!
Isn't it wonderful? I can't wait!! Pooh and that gorgeous mustache
of his! WOW!!!! I love them soooo much! I sure hope I
can meet them this summer!

Went shopping. Got 2 pair of jeans, 2 shirts, buncha mags,
& a scrabook 4 my Andy stuff.
Called Buster.
He don't like C&T. He's dumb in that respect! His mustache
is sprucing out.
I talked to Sharolyn for a long
time on the phone. She's really nice.
I can't
wait till tomarrow, to see my "Pooh"! Carol Burnett
used to be on Saturdays. Just my luck, they move it to Sundays!
Mellisa Tennille was on "Love Boat." And
I didn't know till it was over!! Shoot!

Today was WONDERFUL!! Well, the day wasn't really wonderful,
but when 9 p.m. came, OOO-LA-LA!! Daryl and Toni were super on
the Carol Burnett Show! They had a big part! Daryl was such a
fox!! I love him! And Toni's the most beautiful woman ever!!
I can't wait till the show is re-run! I love C&T so much.
I pray that I'll get to meet them this summer. They're cute,
talented, gr-8, magnificent, fabulous, terrific, superb, number
1, lovely, fantastic, wonderful.

No big thing at school.
Got a letter in the
mail from my English pen-pal. She's kinda strange. She's never
even heard of C&T!
Called Buz & requested
Andy's song. A little later, they played L.W.K.U.T. by C&T.
I called & thanked him. He said it was in the room &
he thought he would "slap it on" just for me! Now,
ain't he a sweetie-pie?!!
I feel weird. I mean,
when I get up & walk around, I get dizzy & weak.
Joe's a fox & I always follow him around at school!

In 30 days, I'll be fifteen!!!
This morning, I got up & didn't feel too good.
I went back to bed, & didn't wake up till 8:00! Mom let me
stay home. But to tell the truth, I wanted to go! Got 2 letters
in the mail. Went to Doc's for a blood test at 2. I didn't get
out of there till 4!!
Do you believe tomarrow
is Feb? Looks like this is gonna be a fast year. Just like 1977
was!!
I didn't bother Buster tonight. I listend
from 6-7, then watched Shields & Yarnell, Happy Days, 3's
Company. Then I listened to Buz again from 8:30 to 10:00.
