M&D went grocery shopping. Me & Ma went shopping &
got me some gym shoes. I went up to Stacey's. I ate at her house.
We watched disco CHiP's. Erik's gorgeous! I brought her back
with me & she spent the night.
Sunday, September 2 1979

S.D.'s family came & got us at my house. We went to the
wildlife prairie park. It was really neat! I liked it. We came
back to her house. We goofed off.
Monday Labor day 9-3-79

Erik wasn't on the dumb telethon until about 4 this morning!
I was totally wigged by then. All he did (it was taped before
the accident at a skating rink) was stand there & tell us
to give money. We went to sleep after that & I woke up at
10:30. We watched Erik on the tape then her Dad brought me home.
I sat around & watched the story & the telethon. Dehaired
my legs & pits. Watched Petticoat Junction, Andy Griffith,
& more of the telethon. It, of course, topped last year's
total with $30,075,227! Wish I had it! Watched news, Tom &
Jerry, Little House on the Prarie, it was a real tear jerker.
Tuesday September 4, 1979

Mr. Weitzel finally excepted my article. Archery is fun. I
came home. I ate 2 tacos. I read my mail. I watched the news.
Drove myself to my broadcasting course. Learned a whole bunch
of junk. My brain must be huge by now!

Today stunk as any other school day would. I don't want to
talk about it! I came home. I read my mail. I changed clothes.
I answered mail. Had lasagna for supper. Watched T & J, the
season premiere of Real People.

Went to school. Came home. Got no mail. Ate supper. Watched
T & J. Tried drawing a picture of Erik. Talked to Stacey.
Everything stinks. I stink. I'm scuz. I'm so depressed. I hate
life. I want to quit. I want to be a bum.
Friday September 7, 1979

Today wasn't much better. Î drove to prison. Our paper
came out. I was stuck going to the pep assembly. I drove Stacey
home. We ate supper, then went to K-Fart, Kroger & Venture.
I got some magazines with Erik (who else?) & an Erma Bombeck
book. I talked to Stacey.

I woke up. I called Stacey. She called me. I washed then got
her. We went to Venture & Lakeview Library (which was closed).
Took her home. We hiked. Came home. She came down & we went
to Long John Silvers to eat. Came back here. Cooked her birthday
cake. Watched "Us Against the World." It had Toni Tennille
& Greg Evigan on it. Compared diaries watched Sat. Nite Live,
played cards, had fun.
Sunday Sept. 9, 1979 (Erik
on Emmy's)

Followed Stacey home & film - Erik on our movie camera
from her tape. I hope it turns out! Came home. Laid around.
I watched the Emmy's. Erik wore a white tux with a red bow tie.
His arm was still in a sling. He only smiled once and it looked
forced. He thanked everyone for their prayers, cards, etc. He
looked like he was about to cry, and was in pain. My poor, poor,
poor Erik. He didn't look like him. I love him.
Stacey called & we talked for a few minutes. Then I watched
the rest of the Awards.
Monday Sept. 10, 1979
hi: 87, low: 56
Went to school. I got a 93 on my history test. That's an A!!!
Came home. Didn't get any mail. Ate supper. Watched "Tom
& Jerry." Went to Con. & got $3 worth of gas. At
96.9 a gallon, that ain't much! Washed my car. Watched "Happy
Days" now on week nites at 6:30. Watched a Bugs Bunny special.
Talked to Stacey. Made popcorn. Did homework. Watched "WKRP."
I have a zit under my left nose and it's absolutely killing me!
I'm a pizza face. I washed. I'm now listening to an old Tony
Orlando & Dawn album. Then, I guess I'll go to bed. 1979
has been the yuckiest year yet. I'll meet Erik some day! I can't
wait to hear him sing next week!
Tuesday September 11, 1979

Went to school. Interviewed Mr. Jackass for the newspaper.
Ma picked me up after prison & took me to the doctor's office
(for a blood test). Came home. Did tons of homework. Ate supper.
Talked to Stacey. She helped me figure out how to say a couple
things in Spanish to Erik, "Hope you're feeling better"
& "Hope we'll meet someday." He's gonna be on "Kids
Are People Too" Sunday! Watched "Happy Days,"
"Happy Days," then was the Freddie Prinze movie. I
was a fan of his, 'member? The movie was all so hard to believe.
After it, I looked in my old scrapbook at all of the stuff I
had on him.
Wednesday September 12, 1979

Stacey called his morn and said that the bus driver's were
on strike and we hadda find our own transportation. I kicked
it around in my mind for awhile, then, like the jerk that I am,
I drove to prison! On the way home, It was a mad house. No one
would let me merge. I didn't get no mail again. I made some spaghetti.
Me & Dad ate it. Ma is on a bus trip somewhere. I watched
the news. They're not sure if the buses will be running tomarrow
or not. Dad says if they ain't I don't gotta go! Don't run, don't
run, don't run!! I watched "Happy Days." Then "Real
People" They had male centerfolds from Playgirl magazine
on there. I wanta buy that magazine! I like men. Dad went down
to Grandma's to get the portable t.v. we lent her. I read my
prose cutting out loud to practice. I talked to Stacey. Her family's
getting a new car. Dad came back from G.M.'s. Mom came home.
On WCLL, they said the lousy buses are gonna run tomarrow.
Thursday Sept. 13, 1979

Took the bus to school. I read my thing in Oral Interp &
did good. The 2nd IVCene went on sale today. I got an A+ on a
history quiz. Came home. I got a letter from an Erik fan. I answered
it. I ate supper. I drove Mike's T-bird down to the station for
him so he could fill it up. It's a mobile home! I watched t.v.

Friday September 14, 1979

With no other alternative, I went to school. It stunk as usual.
It was cold out today. After Dad got home, we ate at Long John
Silver's. I watched t.v. & sat around. Stacey called. She
wants me to stay all night tomarrow, but I don't really want
to. I'd be taking a chance of missing Erik on CHiP's that night
& on KAPT the next morning.
C.H.iP.'s day (repeat) 9-15-79
Me & Ma went shopping. I got magazines & a Mork doll
whose talk box doesn't work. I got all my stuff together &
Stacey came down & got me. We went to Chillicothe. We went
to her neighborhood pic-nic. It was fun! We watched CHiP's. It
was a cute one. We played games & stuff.

We watched Erik on "K.A.P.T." this morning. It was
fantastic! He looked super hunky! She brought me home. Later,
I went & got her & we went to the mall where I exchanged
my broken Mork doll for another broken one! Came home. Ate lunch.
Watched the season premiere of Mork. My doll is working now.
Monday September 17, 1979

Our bus died on the way to school. They sent another one &
we switched buses.
"I love Lucy" is on now after school. I watched it,
Tom & Jerry, the news. I wrote to a few girls who like Erik
also.
Rona Barrett said this morning that today is Erik's first day
back on the set of "CHiP's."
Watched Happy Days, Lil house on the Prairie, MASH, WKRP.

This morning, I told Ma I didn't feel well, and she let me
stay home! I layed around all day watching television & sleeping.
Ate supper. Got ready to go. Made appointment to get my bangs
refeathered.
Went to my course.
Drove home.
Called Stacey.
CHiP's premiere is Sat.
Wednesday September 19, 1979

Went to school. I'm doing better in archery. Better than Stacey,
anyway! Saw a car chase outside during Art. Got my school picture
taken. Cleaned my room. I watched some t.v. Ate supper. Went
to the Con. and got a new t.v. guide & traded in bottles
for deposit money. I got 'bout 2 bucks worth. Talked to SD. Watched
Real People.
Did some homework. I called Stacey for the answers, she wasn't
much help. I'm gonna go to bed now!
Oh yeah, while cleaning my closet, 2 yearbooks fell onto my foot!

Went to school. I read my thing in Oral Interp. It stunk.
Took a quiz in history. I flunked it! When I got home my first
Erik posters were here. I'm very pleased, it only took 2 1/2
weeks! The posters are sure gorgeous! I put mine up right away!
Talked to Stacey. Ate supper. Watched "I Love Lucy."
I made pop corn & talked to Stacey. Watched the news, "Happy
Days." Something is funny. The posters I got today were
the second batch I ordered! I watched "LaVerne &
Shirley," "Benson," "Barney Miller,"
"SOAP," "20/20"
I wrote a postcard to Otto and to Mr. Evans simply asking him
to return my pictures.
Mike brought his girlfriend here to play with her chest - I mean-play
chess with her!
Friday September 21, 1979

Went to school. It was another pep assembly day.
I didn't get any mail. I ate Long John Silver's that Ma brought
home. Talked to Stacey. Me, Ma & Dad went to Dawson's &
K-Fart. I got 4 magazines with articles about Erik's accident.
Came home. Watched "Diff'rent Strokes." Talked to Stacey
about our plans for tomarrow. I put the stuff in my Erik accident
scrapbook. Watched "Dallas." Stacey called back. Our
plans for tomarrow are shot. Mom'll take me to get my hair cut
tomarrow so I don't have to waste my gas.

22, 1979
Season Premiere - "Roller Disco"

Woke up. Washed my hair. Ma drove us to the hair place. I
got my hair trimmed. It cost $18!! Ma griped. We went to the
mall and grocery store. Came home. Stacey called. I went up there.
We talked, cracked wormy hickory nuts and played "Name that
tune." I came home. Me and Booger picked buckeyes in the
creek. I ate tortillas. It's apparent that the generation gap
amidst my parents and I is growing larger with every day. Tonight,
at the table we discussed - rather, I discussed, Dad yelled
- the situation of a man and a woman living together. What do
I care? I'll never land a man anyway! I learned from the "chat"
one thing; it being never to express my opinion in front of my
Dad again!
It was beautiful weather today. I love it like this - not
too hot, not too cold. I watched the news, "the Muppets."
Then - CHiP's!! It was great! But Erik didn't sing the theme
like he was supposed to! Otherwise, it was fantastic. Ma &
Dad went to the Brem's and missed the entire show! Tough marracas!
Stacey called and we conversed.

first day of fall

Woke up around 8:30, only to find that Prunella had arrived
early this month! I watched Daryl & Toni on "K.A.P.T."
I went to the Con & got some pads. Fed my rabbit. Typed a
letter. I ate tortillas. It's nice outside, but I don't feel
so nice, thanks to my "friend." I HATE her! I talked
to Stacey. I suffered. I watched "Out of the Blue,"
"A New Kind of Family," "Mork & Mindy"
(it was hilarious!), "The Associates."
Monday September 24, 1979

Went to school. It stinks! Didn't get any mail. Watched "I
Love Lucy," "Tom & Jerry," the news. I don't
like being a female at times like this! Talked to Stacey. Ate
supper. Watched "Little House on the Prairie," and
"WKRP." I studied Broadcasting. It sprinkled a wee
bit today. Mike seems to be pretty serious about this new girlfriend
of his. They've been together every day since they met.
I'm tired of pot-heads. I wish I went to a school where everyone
was normal. I don't think there is such a thing though.
I hate to admit it, but yes world, I, Julie Marie Fidler, am
a television junkie!

Went to school. It was a plain, usual day. Came home. I got
another order form from Erik's fan club with a form letter from
him. I guess it's in return for the cards I sent him. I watched
"I Love Lucy," "Tom & Jerry." I ate pizza.
Talked to Stacey. Went to my radio course.

Went to school. Came home. We ate supper, then went to K-Fart.
I got a couple mags with great stuff on Erik. I watched "Real
People." Ate pizza with mike & g.f. Studied a bit.
Thursday September 27, 1979

I went to school. I wrote a story on the fall play for next
week's newspaper. Took a test in Oral Interp. Guess I did alright.
This week's IVCene went on sale. Took a history quiz. Got a B-
on it. Me & Kim got kicked out of the library for the rest
of the semester. Came home. Got 3 letters in mail. Talked to
Stacey. Me & Ma went to the grocery store. Came home. Talked
to Stacey. Watched a bit of television, including a story about
Fast Freddy & male strippers in general! WHEW!!! Can't wait
till I'm 18!!!
Friday September 28, 1979

Went to school Drove SD up to her house. We got her stuff
together, talked to Mrs. Rice and came here. On the way out of
her neighborhood, my car stalls and my brakes and steering fails,
I about ran into a car & a tree before I slammed on the emergency
brakes! I put $5 worth in my car. We ate, looked for buckeyes,
talked, watched t.v. Mike's getting married in March!
CHiPs Day Sept. 29, 1979
"Valley Go Home"

We goofed around. I drove her to her dentist in Henry. On
the way home, we stopped at her house and got her roller skates.
Came here. Goofed around. At 7, we watched "CHiPs."
Ba-wumba, ba-wumba!! There was a scene where Erik was wearing
skimpy bikini trunks, and let me say this folks, the guy is very
well endowed. Afterwards, we changed clothes, and went to Pioneer
Skateland.Two little boys asked us to moonlight skate. Wow. We
came back. We played Uno with Mike and his fiance.

Kind of gloomy outside today. Watched Tony Orlando on "KAPT."
I took Stacey home. Today is Aunt Dot's birthday. She's 58. We
ate lunch. Me & Ma went to Venture. It was a mad house! I
got a CHiPs Halloween costume for my collection. I put it on
my teddy bear. Bob, Shar, Chad, and Mandy came over. It was great
to see them again. Mike & fuzzhead took Ma & Pa to see
the trailer they might be buying. Talked to Stacey. Answered
pals. Wrote to Val Valentine. I'm sending an 8x10 to Erik to
autograph for me. I watched Mork & Mindy, Alice. Oh, it was
only gloomy this morn. It got sunnier. Gonna watch the Jeffersons
& go to bed.
