Internship at Srijan Technologies
Srijan is
Software Company, started in 1999, based in New Delhi. Srijan started
as a pure technology company offering high-end technical services
to clients around the world, and this skill remains at the core
of their offerings even today.
My training at
Srijan Technologies Pvt. Ltd., helped me understand the use
of a business solution such as a corporate website or a software
application in context of the business concerns objectives of the
company/organization.
This has given me an insight into approaching a business solution
keeping in mind not only the experience of an end-user (which I
primarily learnt during my education) but also understand and address
the business requirement. This required an understanding of technology
tools available and their constraints.
The principles of Information Architecture and Cognitive Psychology
came into practical use to ensure better user experience and its
integration with design.
Srijan's Web Presence
Srijan is into building bespoke software applications, website design
and development, and E-Business solutions for customers in India
and abroad. The website they earlier had was poor on design as well
as the information structuring and presentation. Srijan was aware
of that, but did not know a better way around.
The variety of applications that they had done was quite large.
The challenge therefore, was to work with the customer in identifying
the key focus areas of the company, restricting the number of highlighted
projects by classifying the domain areas, and structuring information
to address their need of catering to both offshore and domestic
customers.
I was a part of the team that comprised of a Visual Designer
(Parameswaran .V), Content Writer (Prasanna Lal Das)
and myself as an Information Architect.
