The Kdam
The winning song this year was "Halaila" (Tonight) sang by the band 'Hakol Over Habibi', a name which means in a free
translation "Everything passes my friend". Their Eurovision nick-name was "Habibi".
The group is made up by one female singer, Shlomit A'haron, and three males: Yuval Dor, Ami Mendelman and Kiki Rotstein.
Shlomit sang the winning song while she was in the 7th month of her pregnancy at the date of the 1981 Kdam and was in the 9th (!!) month during the performance in the Eurovision.
Avi Toledano, who came third with "Carnaval" had represented israel in the following year (1982).
