Doron Mazar, the master of being second, is another artist who has tried his luck more then a couple of times in the Kdam Eurovision.
Doron first attendance at the Kdam was back in 1985 with the song "Hahilulla" (The Party). His lost in that kdam did not prevent him
from attending the next years Kdam, in 1986, when he sang "Nagli Li balalaika" (Play To Me Balalaika) reaching the 2nd place.
The song was quite a success outside of the Kdam, but it didn't bring Doron the long awaited victory.
Doron then decided to take a long break from the contest and returned only seven years later, on the 1993 Kdam, when he sang
"Re'ach Vetzeva" (Color and Smell). Doron reached the 2nd position again after "Shiru" with a differance of only five points.
Another three years have passed and Doron returned to the Kdam for his fourth appearance. It was in 1996, and Doron sang
"At A'havati" (You Are My Love) reaching the 2nd place again!
Frustrated as he must be after all these "almost winning" I'm sure he'll gon'na be there again and again...
