Things I Miss/Stuff I Used to Do

I'm feelin a bit nostalgic... Care to join me on my trip back in time? Here, you'll most likely see a lot of stuff from the 80s or early to mid 90s.

Things I Miss

  • Old TV shows ~ I will now name some
  • Punky Brewster
  • Small Wonder ~ "I can go to the bathroom now." -VICI
  • ALF
  • The Facts of Life
  • The Cosby Show ~ Okay, technically, I can't miss it cuz re-runs air, but oh well...
  • Head of the Class
  • Out of this World
  • Perfect Strangers
  • Webster
  • 227
  • Charles in Charge
  • Star Search
  • GOOD Saturday morning TV
  • Care Bears ~ Care Bears stare!
  • Teddy Ruxpin ~ Come dream with me tonight...
  • My Little Pony
  • G.I. Joe ~ Now I know! And knowing is half the battle!
  • Jem ~ Showtime Synergy!
  • Transformers ~ I love the sound they make when they transform
  • Muppet Babies
  • Beverly Hills Teens
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ~ It's all about Raphael! The new TMNT is pretty spiffy. Could use some Krang though...
  • She-ra
  • Bots Master
  • Old Nick Jr. ~ Remember Noozles and Adventures of the Little Koala? Oh! And David the Gnome and Eureeka's Castle!!
  • Old Nick period ~ Nickelodeon used to be such a kick ass channel. They had Hey Dude, Salute Your Shorts, Roundhouse, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, You Can't Do That on Television, this list goes on and on. At lease there's Nick GAS now so I can watch old Nick game shows, but I want my Hey Dude, dammit!
  • Stick Stickly ~ Since I'm on the topic of old Nick I thought I'd mention him. He was on Nick in the Afternoon. He was a popsicle stick that introduced Nick shows and always said "Simmer down."

    Stuff I Used to Do

  • Watch Power Rangers ~ I mean the original Power Rangers. What's that I hear? Laughter? I was in elementary school, okay! You know you watched it too.
  • Listen to MC Hammer ~ I will not deny his past coolness. Hey, it could be worse. I'm sure many of you out there were into Vanilla Ice AND New Kids on the Block... so there :P (speakin of Vanilla Ice, didja know Alanis Morissette used to open for him? I saw that one some show about her.)
  • Watch Bots Master and Samurai Pizza Cats with my brother while we ate breakfast before school. It made having to get up early so worth it. I loved saying "Game Over" like ZZ and the Pizza Cats and the Big Cheese were very, very funny.
  • Pretend to be a part of the Ghostwriter Team with my friend. Remember Ghostwriter? It was on PBS. He was a ghost that wrote to kids and they solved mysteries. If you've got it, it's on the Noggin channel. Watch the original, not the New Ghostwriter Mysteries, they blow.
  • Pretend to be a character on Tiny Toon Adventures. When I was in elementary school a group of us used to pick a character to be. I would always be Shirley the Loon. She was the duck that spoke like a valley girl. "Like, gag me with a spoon!" I'm so happy that it's back on the air! Like, fer shure! Go Nickelodeon!

Still a work in progress, so more to come.
