Episode 11 - Stealing Back the Game

Finally, the game had reached the final 4. Holly, Jamie, Jose, and Kelley were the last ones able to win, with Kelley being the only original Freyan. In the round before, Jon had been voted out from Tribal Council. However, as always, due to the Delayed Departure twist, he came back for one final shot at vengance.

But with only him and Kelley as the last 2 Freyans in the game, it seemed unlikely that Kelley could win. Aside from being in a distinct minority, the auction items that had helped Jon and Kelley in the past were not able to be used at Tribal Council any longer, meaning there would only be 2 votes against Idun's 3. Was it destined to be an all Idun final 3, with Holly, Jamie, and Jose? Or was there some way around their problems?

Kelley and Jon had been investing some hope within Jose. Earlier in the game, Jose had made an alliance with Kelley in order to gain votes to take out Megs. Even though Kelley never voted out Megs, she had saved him by voting out Charles when the two were pitted against each other in Episode 9. To her and Jon, there seemed to be a possibility of hope that Jose would switch to their side, since Jamie and Holly seemed to be in an obvious final 2 pact.

However, to Jose, the final 2 pact was not quite as obvious. Both Jamie and Holly had made alliances with him during the course of the game, leaving Jose to believe he was in a good position sticking with them. In actual fact, Jamie and Holly were in a very tight final 2 pact. The two appeared to be unseperable, having promised to never vote each other out no matter what.

Or was it truly no matter what? Another factor was to enter the game. Despite having signed up for the game, issues had aroused with Holly's home life, and she was needing to return home for a few days. After receiving specific permission from the host, Holly left the tribal setting for a duration of the finale. However, in doing so, she had left votes for the tribal councils she was to miss, in this case the final 4 TC.

It then came time for the immunity challenge. At this stage in the game, Kelley needed immunity desperately. If she didn't win it, her fate seemed inevitable: Holly, Jose, and Jamie would all vote her out. However, if she did win, her and Jon could turn the Iduns against one another and seize control of the game. If Holly, Jamie, or Jose won, Holly and Jamie would get their way, and would be one step closer to the final 2. What would happen?

The challenge that round would be the traditional immunity challenge of fallen comrades. In it, Cat (the host) asked questions about the players voted out. Whoever got the most correct would win. Simple as that.

However, the questions were tough, and the challenge did not go well for everybody. Jamie and Jose had apparently not gotten to know the voted out players as well as Kelley. Kelley had a final score of 8 out of 11, while Jamie had 5 and Jose had 1. For the first time in the game, Jamie had lost immunity, while Kelley had her first win since Episode 3!

Instantly after, it came time to vote. Surprisingly, Jamie and Jose agreed to vote for Holly. The two had both decided to betray their Idun alliance member, simply because she wasn't there. Jamie did this extremely regretfully, figuring Jose would likely go still, and because he didn't want to upset Jose.

However, it was then that Jon and Kelley approached Jose. The two offerred him a deal: If he were to vote out Jamie, Kelley and Jon would vote with him, and Jamie would exit the game, leaving Kelley and Jose to become the final 2 afterwards. At first, Jose declined the offer. However, then Jon reminded Jose that Holly had prevoted, and it would possibly be for him, meaning Jose would get voted out. Jose still did not wish to change his vote, and wanted to stick with Jamie. Therefore, he declined Kelley and Jon's offer, and went ahead to vote for Holly.

So, how had Holly voted, for Jamie or for Jose? Would Kelley and Jon be able to predict it, and go along with it? Or would they fail, causing a tie in the game?

The voting proceeded as follows:

Votes for Jose: 3 - Holly, Jon, Kelley
Votes for Holly: 2 - Jamie, Jose

Obviously, Holly had held to her final 2 pact with Jamie, and had prevoted for Jose. This resulted in Jose's elimination from the game. He had a very clear chance at reaching the final 2 with Kelley. However, he stuck to his word, and as a result sacrificed his chance at winning the game.

It was now the final 3. Holly and Jamie's alliance still held somewhat strong, despite Jamie having voted for her in the last round. However, Kelley was surprisingly still in the game. With all of her Idun tribe mates gone, she now depended on winning the next crucial immunity challenge. But this would not be an Immunity easy to win. It would be the all too well known and classic endurance challenge!

Holly was once again not able to attend, leaving Kelley and Jamie to participate in the challenge. The two were brought to a pole which they were forced to stand by with their hand touching it. Whoever remained as the last one at the pole would win the Immunity Challenge, no matter how long it took.

The challenge started out strong, with Jamie and Kelley ready to last the entire night. However, Jamie recognized Kelley's determination. Realizing this, he proposed an offer to Kelley: If Jamie were to drop out of the challenge and give Kelley immunity, she would take Jamie to the final 2 instead of Holly. Kelley confirmed to him that she would, and after thinking about the offer for a little bit, Jamie stepped out of the chalenge. After only 1 hour and 10 minutes, Kelley had won, and Holly's fate seemed sealed.

But now, a bit of a twist was revealed: Kelley would not be casting the final vote soley to determine who would reach the final 2. Rather, as a part of the continuing delayed departure twist, Jose would vote with Kelley. This meant that if the two did not agree on who to vote out, the vote would fall under a tie.

Jose seemed set to vote out Holly, having been voted out by her in the previous round. But would Kelley necessarily agree? Although Holly had been well liked, and she had made promises to Jamie during the immunity challenge, Holly had been inactive recently due to her leave. This could put Kelley at an advantage at the final 2. Would Kelley take the easy way out, or would she choose to stick to the plan and vote for Jamie?

The voting proceeded as follows:

Votes for Holly: 2 - Jose, Kelley

The two had agreed, Holly was to be voted out. This made the final 2 officially and somewhat shockingly Jamie and Kelley. Despite the strong tribal alliances, one Idun and one Freyan had managed to reach the end.

Now, it would be the jury's turn to determine the winner. But of course, there was one final twist we had to throw at the finalists! As hosts, there had been no mentioning of a jury ever. In fact, there was a jury...but what had not been said was that all 13 voted out players would be participating on it!

Soon would begin an intense final tribal council, with all their actions coming back to haunt them. Who would win? Only time would tell...
