Episode 2 - United We Stand

Day 4 – Idun

The next morning, Amber awoke bright and early. After giving herself a good stretch, she went to see what there was for breakfast. After taking a sparse amount of fruits and nuts, she sat down by the fire and began to eat.

Soon, Marion had woken up too. She saw Amber sitting alone by the fire, and decided that then would be a good time to talk about the upcoming vote.

“Hey Amber,” she said, sitting down next to her, “I was wondering if you’d want to vote together this tribal council?”
“Okay,” Amber said, “But for who?”
“I am thinking Ben, but I am not sure.” Marion said.
“Steven and Ben approached me to vote out Maria,” Amber stated.
“Don’t do that!” Marion exclaimed.
“I know,” Amber smiled, “I don’t trust them, and why would I backstab my original tribemates?”
“Exactly,” Marion said.
“I think you should talk to Maria,” Amber said.
“Yeah, I also think I could get Felipe,” Marion added.
“Okay, cool,” Amber said. She then stood up to walk away, leaving Marion awkwardly alone. However, Amber needed some time to think.
*
Amber: Now things are getting crazy! Felipe, Steven, and Ben think I’m with them, while Marion thinks that I’m with her… I trust Marion and Felipe because they are good, hard, players and they are trustworthy…God, why me?
*

More people were beginning to wake up now. Ben and Charles had risen. As they walked about camp, looking about for something to do, the issue of voting came about.

“So, what do you think about the vote?” Ben asked.
“Well, I felt that in the challenge I didn’t do that well,” Charles admitted, “So maybe they’d hold me responsible? I don’t know.”
“Nobody has told you about the vote?” Ben gasped, eyes wide, “Nobody holds you responsible. You did a good job!”
“No, I’ve talked with people,” Charles explained, “But I was thinking maybe I’ll get a few votes or something.”
“Got any ideas as to how you might vote?” Ben asked.
“I don’t know,” Charles stated, “I have a few ideas, but I don’t know.”
“Is one of the ideas me?” Ben asked nervously.
“No!” Charles laughed.
“So who were your ideas?” Ben questioned.
“This is confidential, right?” Charles asked.
“Yes,” Ben replied.
“Okay,” Charles said, “I was thinking Maria, just because she has been sick recently.”
“Really?” Ben said, “I’ve heard that a lot of other people are voting for Maria.”
“Really?” Charles asked, somewhat surprised.
“I’ve heard 4 OTHER people say that,” Ben stated. “I am too, so that’s 5, and if you do that’s 6.”
”That's a pretty solid majority,” Charles commented, “So that's good.”
“So you are voting Maria?” Ben asked.
“Yep, unless I make a mistake or something,” Charles laughed.
“Froggy!” Ben exclaimed happily.
*
Ben: Charles said he wanted to vote off Maria, but for me not to tell anyone. So I told him the plan, and he had NOT heard of it. Kinda weird. But now he says he is voting Maria too, so it looks like I am safe, FOR NOW!
*
Charles: Maria's got a very motherly charm to her. She's got this "Aww, shucks, ya'll" vibe to her, and she's really sweet. Maybe she's playing us all, and she's doing a good job if she is. I can trust her, but I don't know if I want to keep her a really long time.
*

Meanwhile, Marion was going around camp, trying to get people to vote with her for Ben. She pulled Felipe aside to talk to him.

“Can I ask you for a favor?” Marion asked.
“Yeah, sure,” Felipe replied.
“Can you vote for Ben?” Marion asked.
“Ben? The New Guy?” Felipe said, somewhat surprised.
“Yeah,” Marion said, “Let’s try to keep Idun together.”
“Oooh, so you think that?” Felipe questioned.
“Yeah, we would have the votes,” Marion smiled.
“Totally,” Felipe agreed, “I was thinking they can have a secret 2 alliance, so that could mess things up in our tribe.”
“They have an alliance,” Marion stated, “Amber got asked if she’d want to vote Maria by them.”
“Really?” Felipe said, pretending to be surprised.
“Yeah, they confirmed it by asking her.”
“Okay,” Felipe said, “So me, you, Amber, and Aurora?”
“Yeah,” Marion stated, “It would be a 6 to 2 vote with everyone though,”
Have you talked to everyone yet?” Felipe asked.
“Not everyone, but close to it,” Marion stated, “I’ve only got Amber and Aurora so far.”
“Okay, I’m in,” Felipe agreed, “Trust me.”
“I’ll trust you,” Marion stated.
“Thanks!” Felipe replied, “So Ben’s out?”
“He should be,” Marion said, “If you, me, Aurora, Amber, and Maria all vote for him.”
“Okay, perfect,” Felipe said, “Thanks for letting me know about it.”
“No problem!” Marion smiled.
*
Felipe: I just joined an alliance with Marion, Amber, and…I think there are more people but I cant remember. So right now I think I have the game in the bag.
*

Finally, Marion pulled Charles aside to talk to him about the vote.

“Do you want to vote together?” Marion asked.
“I think that would be good,” Charles said, “I could get Aurora and Ben to vote with us.”
“I already have Aurora,” Marion stated, “but we should vote out Ben, being an ex-Freyan.”
“True, or maybe Steven?” Charles asked, “Ben seems more level-headed.”
“We’ll let Steven float in his ego,” Marion smiled, “He’ll know he’s a goner next week. Plus, he’s a good rusher. Ben is more passive.”
“Ben says a lot of people are voting for Maria though,” Charles stated.
“Who does he define as a lot?” Marion asked, “I mean, he’s hardly known us. How could he really get people to vote with him that fast?”
“I think he’s just discussing ideas with other people,” Charles suggested.
“Well, here is what I think,” Marion said, “You, me, Aurora, Amber, Felipe, and Maria are all going to vote for Ben.”
“So pretty much everyone except Ben and Steven?” Charles asked.
“Yes,” Marion smiled, “Feel free to vote how you want though.”
“Alright then, thanks for letting me know,” Charles stated.

Charles then walked away, as Marion smiled. She seemed to believe she had gotten everyone on her side perfectly.
*
Marion: I trust that Ben will be leaving this week, because I trust Aurora, Amber, Myself, Felipe, Charles, and Marie are voting for him. Felipe and Charles seem off though. Poor Ben. I’ve had to lie to him and say he wasn't going to go, but we can’t have Steven alarmed. I don't want Steven to think he isn't in control. I can sense he is a Type A.
*

A short while before Tribal Council, Ben walked over to Maria to see how his victim was doing.

“Hey, how are you?” Ben asked.
“I’m okay I suppose, until tonight,” Maria sighed.
“Tribal Council sucks,” Ben agreed.
“Yeah, and I heard that I’m going,” Maria mumbled.
“Really?” Ben said, pretending to act surprised, “Who is voting for you?”
Maria looked over at Ben, trying not to laugh, then said, “Well you and Steven, that’s for sure.”
“What makes you say that?” Ben asked, surprised.
“A little bird,” Maria said, sighing again, “And I thought I was a nice person.”
“Well, they seem nice if they told you,” Ben laughed.
“I am bummed,” Maria stated, “but I had fun while it lasted.”
“It’s not definite!” Ben exclaimed, “You still have a chance to fight!”
“I know, but I’m not a fighter,” Maria smiled, “I’m a lover.”
*
Ben: I talked with Maria today, and she knew she was going. I asked why she didn't fight and she said she wasn't a fighter...odd.
*
Maria: If it is up to me and if the tribe is not lying to me, we will see Ben go tonight and Steven at the next tribal council. They came into this tribe acting as though they were the kings, and then they tried to get me voted out because I was sick, and that could happen to anyone. Also, they lied and said I deserved to be voted out because I did not help the tribe, but everyone in my tribe knows I help the tribe emotionally and in any way I can. Those boys played with the wrong mom.

Day 4 – Tribal Council

After a long hike in the cold night of Sweden, the Iduns arrive at the Tribal Council area. One by one, Amber, Marion, Charles, Steven, Ben, Maria, and Felipe all march into the ice castle. Lastly, Aurora enters, with her bags packed and her torch, ready to leave.

Cat sits on the opposite side of the bonfire in the middle, waiting for them.

“Welcome to Idun’s first tribal council,” Cat says, “Those of you who are new to this procedure, grab a torch and light it in the fire. Fire represents life in this game. Without it, you cannot live in the game.”

Amber, Charles, Felipe, Maria, and Marion each take a torch, and light it in the bonfire. Then, they each take a seat, and wait for the questions to begin.

“Well, it is day four in the game now,” Cat says, “And already, the game has shaken up a lot. Already, there has been one switch in the game. Maria, how did you feel about it?”
“I was actually upset because I liked the people on my tribe,” Maria says, “and it seems like the new people that came onto our great tribe of IDUN think they can take over, and I don't like that.”
“Charles, how do you feel about Aurora voting with your tribe tonight?” Cat questions.
“I’ve always liked Aurora,” Charles says, “I think I was one of the closer people to her at the start, and it was a shock to me that she was voted off. Now with her voting, she gets another chance, and we can work together.”

“Felipe,” Cat then asks, “what do you think caused you guys to lose the Immunity challenge this round?”
“Like I've said, we will have our Up's and Down's in this game,” Felipe replies, “We've lost this Immunity, But the next one we will kick but!"
“Amber, how are you basing your vote tonight?” Cat asks.
"One answer,” Amber states, “based on team unity. Who I trust and who are good players."

“Ben, do you think there is a chance that you will be leaving tonight?” Cat questions.
"It is a possibility,” Ben says, “Me and Steven are both from the opposing tribe. I think I have a chance at surviving tonight though."
“Marion,” Cat then asks, “do you think there is a chance that YOU will be leaving tonight?”
"There's always the chance I'll be voted out,” Marion answers. “Plus I am the leader of Idun, therefore blame can be placed on me."
“Maria, if you survive tonight,” Cat questions, “What will you try to do after this so you don’t end up here again?”
“I will, and I know my tribe as a whole, will work together not to get us here,” Maria states, “we will unite, and we will become stronger than we already are so we can win this next immunity...and me personally will give it 110%, so some people will not say that I did not do anything for my tribe, because I am dedicated to my tribe and to us winning immunity."

“Does anyone have anything else they’d like to add?” Cat asks.
Everyone shakes their heads, saying no.
“With that said, it’s time to vote. Marion, you’re up first.”

Marion walks up to the voting podium. She picks up her pen, and writes down on her parchment the name BEN. “I have got to vote with majority that I persuaded,” she says, “There's nothing personal but survival is survival. Have fun.”

Ben then walks up next. He puts a name down on his parchment, smiles at the camera as he gives a reason, then walks away. His vote is not shown.

Next, Maria trudges up to the voting podium, writes down a name on her parchment, and puts her vote in the urn. As she does, she says, “For trying to get me out and coming in and trying to take over, and lying.” Her vote is not shown.

After Maria, Steven comes up to the podium to cast his vote. Quickly, he scribbles down the name MARIA on his parchment, then says, “This is what my alliance decided, because she was inactive during the challenge, and didn't seem to help much.”.

Once Steven has voted, Aurora comes up to cast her vote. After thinking for a moment, she writes on her parchment the name STEVEN. “You know,” Aurora says, “this vote is about revenge. It was obviously going to go to either Ben or Steven...but when I look back to my exit from this game...Ben came right up front and told me he was voting for me. Steven admitted it, but I had to ask first. That puts him on worse terms with me.” She then places her vote in the voting urn, and walks off.

After Aurora, Felipe comes up to the podium to cast his vote. He thinks for a moment, then writes a name down, and says, “I was offered an alliance…so I’ll have to stab them in the back and vote out…” The camera cuts to the faces of Felipe’s tribe members to prevent from showing his vote. He then places his vote in the urn, turns around and walks away.

Charles then walks up to the podium, and silently casts his vote. He quickly returns to his seat. His vote is not shown.

Finally, Amber, approaches the voting podium with resentment. She writes down a name on her parchment, then says to the camera, “I don’t trust you.” She then places her vote into the voting urn, and walks away. Her vote is not shown.

Once Amber has returned to her seat, Cat says, “I’ll go fetch the votes.”

Cat then stands up, and walks away momentarily to go get the votes. Soon, he returns with the voting urn.

“Once the votes are read, the decision is final,” Cat says, “I’ll read the votes…”

Cat opens the urn, and pulls out the first vote.

“First vote…”

MARIA

Maria sighs. She is not surprised by the vote. “Second Vote…”

MARIA

“Third vote,” Cat says…

BEN

“Fourth vote…”

STEVEN

“That’s 2 votes Maria, 1 vote Ben, and 1 vote Steven,” Cat says. He then pulls out the fifth vote.

“Fifth vote…”

BEN

“Sixth Vote…”

BEN

“That’s 3 votes Ben, 2 votes Maria, 1 vote Steven,” Cat says, “If this next vote is for Maria or Steven, Ben may be safe. If this next vote is for anyone else, Ben is gone.”

“Seventh Vote…”

“And the second person voted out of Vengeful Survivor: Sweden is…”

BEN

Ben stares at the last vote, somewhat stunned to see that he actually was voted out, as Steven glares over at Amber and Felipe.

“Ben, I am sorry to say this,” Cat says, “But the tribe has spoken.”

“Bye Ben,” Amber says, waving at him.

“Bye?” Cat asks Amber, “Don’t forget the Delayed Departure twist! Ben will now stay in the game for one more round. He will go on to vote at the next Tribal Council, and will after that leave. Tonight, however, we will say goodbye to Aurora. Aurora, please bring me your torch.”

Smiling proudly, Aurora walks over to Cat, with her things in one hand and her torch in the other.

“Aurora, I’m sorry to say this,” Cat says, “But it is time for you to go home.”

Cat places the torch-snuffer over Aurora’s torch, putting it out for good. Aurora then exits the tribal council area, waving to the Idun tribe, no regrets left behind.

Cat then returns his attention to the 6 remaining Idun tribe members and Ben. “Well,” Cat says, “This certainly has been an interesting and intense Tribal Council. I’m sure it has given some of you to think about, and also has told you that you never know exactly where you stand in the game. With that said, you may all head back to camp.”

The Idun tribe collects their things, and begins the walk back to camp. Tomorrow would bring the start of a new round.
