Episode 3 - Trading Spaces
Day 6 – Idun
On the 6th day in the game, everything was peaceful on Idun. People were simply taking the day to work. They all felt they knew exactly how the vote would go: For Maria.
Maria sat all by herself still, aching in pain from her sickness. She was tired of the game, and ready to go home.
“I really can't say anything on the game,” Maria said to the camera, “because I have not been present and I haven’t been there with my tribe because I was very ill and I still am. I do apologize…and I know that my tribe is very upset with me for that, but I have to care of myself."
Maria then sat up, trying to feel better.
“I hope I am forgiven...but so far I think the game is very interesting and fun,” she babbled through her sickness.
Meanwhile, Steven was spending the day, relaxing with the rest of his tribemates. Kelley and him were talking and laughing around the campfire. Everything was calm and peaceful. There was no need to worry.
*
Steven: I feel pretty secure now, because 3 of my old tribemates have come over from Freya. They have made me feel secure because I feel like they have my back.
*
Finally, the time came for Tribal Council. Maria got up from her spot, Kelley and Steven stopped talking, and everybody took their torches. It would soon be time to vote, and time to for Ben to leave.
And everything was calm still. But of course, in Sweden, nothing stays calm for long…
Day 6 – Tribal Council
After trudging through the snow on their hike to Tribal Council, the Idun tribe finally arrives at the Tribal Council Ice Castle. One by one, Ben, Steven, Felipe, Jon, Kelley, Megs, and Maria all enter.
Each of the contestants light their torches in the bonfire, as Cat introduces them.
“Welcome to Idun’s second Tribal Council,” Cat says, “Please light your torches in the bonfire, then take a seat. Fire represents life in this game. Without it, you cannot live in the game.”
After all the contestants have taken a seat, Cat begins.
“Well, clearly you’ve had a very insane round this time,” Cat says, “With the after immunity switch especially. Megs, how did you feel about the twist of the switch after immunity?”
"I was so shocked and upset,” Megs replies, “I had grown comfortable with the people around me, and then I had to up and leave them, but I will be positive- cause hey i like the people that I’m here with now- I just wish people actually had a chance to get comfortable with their surroundings and people."
“Felipe, you were one of the few here tonight who actually lost immunity this round,” Cat states, “What is your explanation for the two losses in a row?”
“I don’t have anyone to blame,” Felipe answers, “I think the whole tribe didn’t work together, and there was a lot of pressure on Me, Marion, and Steven."
“Kelley, lets talk about the Delayed Departure twist,” Cat says, “Knowing the person that is voted out will be sticking around for another round, will you be voting at all differently?”
"No,” Kelley states, “I try and not let twists interfere with my strategy and what I feel is the best decision for the team. If people come after me for revenge, they are allowed...I'm no more invincible than anyone here."
“Maria, how do you feel about Ben voting with you guys tonight?” Cat questions.
"It doesn't bother me, I know that he is upset with me,” Maria says, “and he is probably voting for me, but that is understandable."
“Ben, How do you feel about getting to vote for an extra round?” Cat asks.
“It's cool, everyone gets to vote for at least 2 Tribal Councils with your twist,” Ben grins.
“Steven, what are you basing your vote on tonight?” Cat asks.
"My vote is being based on the person who I feel is a threat in the game,” Steven answers, “Another reason for their vote may be inactivity."
“With all that said, anyone have anything else they want to add?” Cat asks.
Everyone shakes their heads, indicating no.
“Then it is time to vote,” Cat states, “Steven, you’re up first.”
Steven walks up to the voting podium, and writes a name down on his parchment. He then places his vote inside the voting urn, and quickly returns to his seat. His vote is not shown.
Next, Maria walks up to the podium. On her parchment, she writes down the name STEVEN. “No reason,” Maria states, “I really wanted to vote for myself because I screwed up so bad.” She then places her vote in the voting urn, and returns to her seat.
After Maria, Jon approaches the voting podium. He writes down a name on his vote, and says, “The only reason you're getting my vote is because you're just not in the majority. Sorry, nothing personal.” Jon then places his vote into the voting urn, and walks off. His vote is not shown.
Megs then goes to the voting podium, and on her parchment silently writes down a name. She flashes the vote to the camera, and walks off. Her vote is not shown.
Ben then walks up to the voting podium. He pulls out a pen, and quickly writes down the name FELIPE. “Pure revenge,” Ben says, “I don't like you too much for lying to me. Good Luck kid.” Ben then places his vote in the voting urn, and walks back to his seat.
After Ben, Kelley walks up to the voting podium. She quickly writes a name down on her parchment, flashes the vote to the camera, then places it in the voting urn before returning to her seat. Her vote is not shown.
Finally, Felipe approaches the voting podium. He uncaps the pen, and on his parchment writes down the name MARIA. “Maria, I'm really sorry,” Felipe says, “I hate to do this, but I have to vote for you. After the twist our tribe got very Freya-sendly, and now the Freyas tribe members are the majority and I have to go with them in order to stay in this game for the next round. I hope you can understand me, we have an alliance and I really wanted us to make it to final 2. But fallowed by the latest facts that wont happened cause I'm next. I hope we can still be good friends.” He then places his vote in the voting urn, and returns to his seat.
Once Felipe has returned to his seat, Cat says, “I’ll go fetch the votes.” Soon, Cat returns with the votes, and opens the urn.
“Once the votes are read, the decision is final,” Cat says, “That person will be asked to stay, as they’ll be spending one more round in the game due to the Delayed Departure twist. I’ll read the votes.”
“First vote…”
MARIA
Maria nods her head slightly, expecting the vote.
“Second Vote…”
FELIPE
Felipe is slightly taken aback by the vote, but accepts it.
“Third vote,” Cat says…
STEVEN
“Fourth vote…”
MARIA
“That’s 2 votes Maria, 1 vote Felipe, and 1 vote Steven,” Cat says. He then pulls out the fifth vote.
“Fifth vote…”
MARIA
“Sixth Vote…”
“And the third person voted out of Vengeful Survivor: Sweden is…”
MARIA
Maria sighs, hanging her head, slightly upset. Felipe looks over at her, tears forming in his eyes.
“Maria, you have been voted out of Survivor Sweden,” Cat states, “But it is not your turn to leave the game. This week, Ben shall be exiting the game, so Ben, please bring me your torch.”
Ben smiles, and walks up to Cat with his torch read.
“Ben, I’m sorry to say this,” Cat says, “But it is time for you to go home.”
Cat places the torch-snuffer over Ben’s torch, putting it out for good. Ben then exits the tribal council area, giving a wink and a wave to his old Freya pals as he leaves.
Cat then returns his attention to the 5 remaining Idun tribe members and Maria. “Clearly, the game keeps on becoming more interesting,” Cat says, “Just when you expect things are in your control, they fall out. I’m sure this has been a bit of a lesson to you all. For now, you may all head back to camp.”
The 6 players grab their torches, and begin the long hike back to camp. Tomorrow would bring a brand new day.
