Bermuda
These are from Bermuda during the 1 hour tour we took on Wednesday during the week we were there. The tour included a demonstration of dunking, whiuch was the method of punishment for women who were "convicted" of being nags and gossips. They really did dunk the girl, three times, and that water was COLD! This was the extent of my relaxation in Bermuda, but of course, I trying to make up for that now!! That's Destiny on the dock behind the shot of the Town Cryer. And behind Destiny is a recreation of the Deliverance, a ship that brought the first British settlers to Bermuda. And in case you can't read the sign around Diane's neck, it says "I'm a gossip and a nag." It wasn't my idea!! |
