Favorite Links
Below are some links I have found useful. Enjoy
- SSCA - Seven Seas Cruising Association, an organization dedicated to cruising; sends out a monthly bulletin written by people who are 'out here'.
- Sailnet - A great site for articles and a good selection of merchandise. I have no commercial interest in the site - just giving you my opinion.
- Cruisenews - Links to other cruisers and cruising related websites.
- Noonsite - Jimmy Cornell's site with recent information about many cruising areas.
- Caribbean Cruisers - The web site of the Caribbean Cruisers Safety and Security Radio Net, that helps keep people updated about missing boats, people and other security issues.
- GoodOldBoat.com - Good Old Boat Magazine, a great source for information on our "gently" aging yachts. They also maintain a very comprehensive listing of marine vendors.
- Long Island Sound Sabre Association - A great group of people who all own Sabre Yachts. (We owned a Sabre 34 for 10 years before Destiny)
- Sound Marine Diesel - My good friend Joe DeMers' business web site. He sells Beta Marine Diesels and services all types. He did a great job on Destiny
- ARRL - The American Radio Relay League, the organization that administers (for the FCC) all the HAM radio tests in the US, and the primary promoter of HAM radio in the States.
- Winlink - The site to find out about Winlink 2000, the network of HAM email stations all over the world.
- Sailmail - The cooperative SSB Radio email system I use.
- Airmail 2000 - The web site for the Airmail program that is the software front end for both Sailmail and Winlink. (Its great)
- Bahia Redonda Marina - The marina where we stay when in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela. Staffed by very nice people and one of the main places for cruisers to stay in PLC.
- www.onpassage.com - Onpassage.com is a good resource for cruising yachts worldwide.
