Tobago Cays Fish

These underwater pictures were made by scanning prints we got from our Minolta underwater camera, so they are not at the same standard as the other pictures on the site but they do show some of the incredible marine life we saw there. The first shot is a Parrotfish chewing on coral, done as as it feeds. They add sand to the reef by chewing off coral and discharging coral sand after they've eaten the tiny animals. The next picture is of a Smooth Trunkfish (top) and a Bluehead Wrasse. Next is a very strange and somewhat rare Banded Searobin. The next shot is of a 7 foot Nurse Shark we happened upon and who decided not to hang around much after we showed up.

The first two pictures here are of a French Angelfish and his(her) Staghorn Coral patch. The next is a school of Blue Tangs, Doctorfish and Surgeonfish. The next shot is of a Southern Stingray, about 5 feet long (with tail). Finally, I got a Scrawled Cowfish - notice the "horns", and there is a Bicolor Damselfish at the bottom left corner.
