Trinidad - 2003Chaguaramas
 This first shot is from the Military Museum near Chaguaramas. It has lots of artifacts from WWII, like the telephone switchboard and wooden airplane propeller. The next is Destiny when we hauled her out. You can see the drip line from the chemical we used to try to remove the oil from the numerous spills we had. Chacachacare
 
 
The bottom pictures are of the abandoned leper colony on Chacachacare Island. The first picture is of the Nuns quarters, which was in decent shape. The next is of the church used by the patients; you can see the missing wall behind where the altar should be. (The altar was stolen) The next 2 shots are ward rooms in the hospital and the last is an exam room; all are just about falling apart from lack of maintenance and the encroachment of the rainforest. |
