Review: With the words "What, are you boys here again?", the Uninvited Guests' first recording began. I remember the first time I heard this recording and I thought "You're not going to play that again are you?" Unfortunately, they didn't stop. Considering the band's lack of musical talent, this was a landmark recording proving the boys could read and write at a forth grade level. Just consider the first verse of the album's title track: "Open, open, open, open, open. Open, open, open, open, open. (Review by a friend of the band)

Limited distribution of 5 copies.

Side B Captures a practice held at a house being built by Charles B.'s dad. A couple of great covers are there, including "American Pie Rap".

Review: This is the only recording of Craig with T.U.G. It's not the Beatles "Butcher Cover" album but a great tape all-in-all and a must have for an avid collector.

Liner notes: June 28,1996 - Amidst the rubble filled streets, basking in the neon glow from the strip joints that riddled the main drag in Newport, Kentucky sat The Jockey Club. In its prime the Jockey Club was at the hub of the burgeoning Cincinnati punk scene, catering to the area's underbelly. Tri-State fans would flock to the J.C. to catch the likes of Black Flag, Circle Jerks, D.O.A., Husker Du and the Replacements. On this sweltering, June night they wouldn't be so fortunate. The near capacity crowd had come to see national recording artists Brian Brain, touring on the strength of their hit single "Big Drugs". What they got would change the face of rock music forever. 9:00 p.m.- An unassuming group of fellows take the stage. Bob, Craig and Jim take their positions followed by Mikey W., Michael R. and Mike B. (amazingly, not brothers). The announcement is made that Brian Brain will not appear and have been replaced by the Rhythm Pigs. Naturally, a riot ensues. Suddenly, the opening chants of "Big Drugs" are blasting from the stage. The crowd rushes the stage, the mosh pit opens and the night is saved. Well, it was saved until the song was over and The Uninvited Guests launched into their bag of originals.

Included with the original "PAPRIKA" cassette is the limited "Official: The Uninvited Guests Dinner Club Pass" (Do not confuse these with passes reissued at the 1999 reunion.) Cassette cover art by Mike B.

Review: An uneven compilation which accurately documents the bands uneven repertoire. A must have for any former band member. One little known factoid about this compilation: "Jamaica" is pronounced "D'Yer Mak'er." (Review by a friend of the band)

4. "Join Rivers: "Can We Listen?" 1988

The Ohio Exhibit Project Compilation CD at CMJ Music Marathon #8.
(A Jim Clevo Production 002)

Track 07: THE UNINVITED GUESTS: "Hearts and Roses"

Review: With only one song by The Uninvited Guests included on the compilation, there are few chances for things to go wrong. Maybe "Hearts and Roses" was not the band's best song, but it was certainly their most carefully recorded song. (Review by a friend of the band)
