October takes 'Orgazmo' preem to Playboy mansion By MICHAEL FLEMING, September 21, 1998October Films will launch the Trey Parker-directed porn spoof "Orgazmo" with a poolside bash at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles on Oct. 18.The film, which opens Oct. 23, stars "South Park" co-creator Parker as Joe Young, a hunky but virtuous Mormon who unwittingly becomes part of the porn industry, making it big as the superhero Orgazmo. When his fiance finds out how hes suddenly making money, she forbids him from appearing in a sequel and is herself kidnapped. After securing the mansion for a premiere that would surely make Austin Powers jealous, October partners Scott Greenstein, John Schmidt and Bingham Ray were gleeful about the chance to rub elbows with Hugh Hefner and the scantily clad bunnies who are poolside fixtures. "We are thrilled to be able to launch this outrageous film with an unprecedented all-celebrity party at the Playboy Mansion," they enthused. "This is a perfect match in every way."October will put together a guest list with Parker and his "South Park" cohort Matt Stone, who produced the film along with Fran Kuzui and Jason McHugh. Parker and Stone are the subjects of an October Playboy magazine feature.
A mammoth assault on taste, the show mixes everything from bathroom humor to celebrity satire. It's foul-mouthed, badly drawn and, although the heroes are schoolboys, suitable only for shock-resistant families. It's also a major hit, the show that put Comedy Central on the map and the most talked-about TV cartoon since The Simpsons. "We're not making the show for kids," says writer Parker, 28 (right), who originally cooked it up as a gag -- a Christmas video greeting -- with film-school pal Stone, 27. "We're making it for us." So what offends him? "Full House."
THE BUZZ "They're leading a new male revolution of crude behavior," says Harbert. "These guys have the talent to get away with saying what shouldn't be said."

Look out, Matt and Ben! Hollywood's new dynamic duo, South Park creators and BASEketball stars Matt Stone and Trey Parker are running wild, and Tinsel Town will never be the same. We asked the bad boys a few questions:
YM: Think any female celebs are cute?
Matt: Natasha Henstridge.
Trey: We had her do a voice over on South Park. She's cool, but she wasn't as hot as I thought she'd be.
YM: Gotta crush on her?
Matt: I don't really have any celebrity crushes.
Trey: I want a celebrity girlfriend, though. That would be fun.
Matt: Like Minnie Driver. She's hot. We've met. We have the same lawyer
.YM: You haven't always been hanging with superfine women, right?
Trey: Our first few years in Los Angeles, we slept in cars and on people's floors. Then Matt and I lived in a Santa Monica studio. Matt didn't even have a bed. We both got a fungus living there.
YM: Ever had an embarrassing moment?
Matt: Kissing Trey in BASEketball. It totally sucked. My stomach was in a huge knot it was so gross. We guzzled Listerine after.

trey parker (south park) wrote, directed and stars in this comedy about a mormon sweet-talked into making skin flicks as Captain Orgazmo. while porn stars like ron jeremy have cameos, there is no explicit sex, which is why parker's hot over--and may appeal--the film's NC-17 rating. referring to the R-rated "there's something about mary" he says, bodily fluid "dripping off a guy's ear?" thats WAY beyond what we've got."
this is the part where you are supposed to say: "hell yeah! you made an extremely valid point mr. parker. i guess it just goes to show you how fucked up the rating board is. judging from what i have heard and seen about "orgazmo" it is not nearly as offensive as "there's something about mary" (well, at least not any worse), and thats why it sucks ass that they are giving your movie an NC-17 rating, thus limiting its distribution, and fucking over many of your fans in the process." well..you don't have to say that exactly ....but something similar would be nice..

"Dude, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone presented four trophies at this year's Creative Arts Awards a.k.a the Off-Air Emmy's. (thankfully, this year's will be televised, so we'll all know who won Out-Standing Hairstyles in a TV Movie). The South Park duo adlibbed lines like, "the winner is ....marisa tomei. oh, no, that's wrong." before they nearly lost it at the sight of angelic jaclyn smith. afterward, a satisfied Stone, reflected, "my as felt great that night"
Hey it's me again, I thought you might like to know that Matt&Trey where on Loveline(the radio show, not the one on tv) about two months ago. Me, being the moron I am didn't record it like I should have. But it was very funny, topics ranged from the serious to the silly. Trey and Matt talked about their high school crushes and things like that. Inevitably, someone called asking trey to do a cartman voice and he did. Turd was of course a topic brought up several times, one guy called in and asked everybody what they thought was better, a good whiz, or a good dump. Everybody said dump. Trey kept on making jokes about doing Matt's mom. If you can get a copy of the show, do it, it's really funny.

Orgazmo Release Date: October 23comedy starring Trey Parker, Dian Bachar, and Matt Stone; directed byParker(October)South Park creators Parker and Stone follow their disappointingBASEkeball debut with this no-less-offensive send-up of the adult-film industry. What apremise: A kickboxing Mormon missionary stumbles into starring in a porn movie (But only after being assured he won't have to appear in the dirty bits). But what a letdown: Orgazmo, which has been slapped with an NC-17rating, only occasionally makes the most of its sticky situations.

- from tulsa box office: If you think "South Park'' is gross, Trey Parker has a message for you: deal with it. Parker says the only things people find offensive are those "they can't deal with'' or don't want to talk about. Parker says the world would be a better place if everyone was so mature that we can laugh at everything. We're not there yet, so Parker says he and his buddy Matt Stone can still press those buttons that shock people.
- from a review of baseketball from the miami herald: " Parker (the blond, pudgy-faced one) and Stone (the wiry, bespectacled one)
- tnt rough cut describing baseketball: "this anarchistically tasteless comedy wavers between outright hilarity and standard, homoerotic, frat-house silliness." (my favorite adjective in this sentence is homoerotic. how about you?)
- "I think Matt is naughty and Trey is lovable, but I may have it backwards"- marc jaffe from free times
- at WEBPOINT a poll taken for star rating of baseketball goes as follows: 19-35 gave it 4 stars the (highest rating)13-18 gave 3 1/2 and nobody over 36 has even voted. (its that last part i found interesting..figures). if you want to get in on the action visit the webpoint link..
- at some message board talking about who was who (between matt and trey) when they were on conan o'brien??? (did anyone catch that by the way): "The one with the non-afro blonde hair and the eyebrow ring is Matt Stone. The other guy is Trey Parker." (btw- how did i let something like an eyebrow ring slip by me? i must be slipping in my old age (mallrats) anyway..i was not aware of this..)
- new york daily news describing the boys: Parker, with his Dutch Boy haircut and California smile, is a pleasant if vague presence, but the knottier, more introverted Stone doesn't read very well on film. (to that last part..yeah..biteme-btw, dutch boy haircut???)
