Come
on in and browse through my cookbooks, they are quite varied. You'll find
recipes passed down through the family, foods I developed a taste for while
living in another country, recipes that have been adapted for family
members with diet restrictions, some tips and tricks I learned along the
way, and some of the traditions that go with some of the foods.
Coming soon, you'll be able to take a peak into my root cellar. With food labels
containing so may ingredients that are nearly unpronounceable and having
quite a few family members with diet restrictions, preserving food by
ourselves has become a major part of our lives. Here I'll share some of our
recipes and methods, everything from dehydrating mushrooms (check the
Garden to learn how to grow your own) to smoking ham and pork chops. I'll
admit, it's time consuming, but it's well worth it from a health and taste
standpoint.
Eventually I'll be breaking these down into catagories or "books". Also, you'll notice some of the recipes will seem incomplete because they lack some measurements, but I come from an old Polish family and lots of the recipes that have been handed down to me are “to taste.” So just give them a try and remember do it to taste! Enjoy
