Call ducks have small compact bodies. They were once bred for decoys till it was band to use live decoys. Now they are bred for hobbies. The females have a loud quack. The males are much quieter. They are good foragers and are very harder during the winter if kept dry and out of the wind. Call ducks are excellent flyers and it's their only defense from predators. Due to their small size they are prime targets to predators.
