Perhaps the biggest mystery of all when it comes to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Is the Tri-force in the game? No one really knows for sure, but everyone is pretty convinced that it's not. Despite all of the screenshots, tales, and rumors of the Tri-force's existence, there has never been any proof that anyone has ever found. All of these screenshots have turned out to be fakes. All of the rumors have turned out to be lies. So, what to make of the Tri-force mystery?
First of all, the game gives strong evidence that it is in the game. On the status subscreen, in the middle of all of the spritual stones, there is a blank Tri-force. It appears that if you could get the Tri-force, it would fit right in there. Hmmmm...
Also, if you think about it, there are un-answered things all through the game that you'll see. If you look at the gossip stones, you'll see that some of them say things like, "They say Ganondorf rides a black steed". What? We know that. What does it have to do with anything? Could it have to do with the Tri-force? Probably not. But it might.
So, we've added up just some of the clues. So, does it exist?
