Compton Community Clinic is very involved with reaching out to the community. Here are some of the programs that we are currently providing. | ||||||||||
Community OutreachCompton Central Community Health Center is very involved with reaching out to our community. We organize an annual health fair to offer children’s immunizations and free health screenings to the public, and to provide health education and disease prevention information, food, and entertainment to the residents of our neighborhood. We provide homeless feedings and referrals to local community services when needed. Compton Central Community Health Center has hosted Easter egg hunts for children during the Easter season. We have held a Halloween Haunted House, allowing neighborhood children a safe environment to enjoy their Halloween celebration. Each Thanksgiving, we distribute food baskets to those in need. At Christmas, we open our doors to the community with a Santa Claus and community Christmas party, and we give food and toys to the neighborhood children and families. In order to promote the well being and safety of our community’s children, we have given away safety-approved children’s car seats to our local children. Compton Central Community Health Center maintains close relationships with other health and community service organizations in our area, in order to offer our patients a larger network of sources for referral services and medical specialists. Our community network includes the El Nido Family Project, Watts Health Foundation, His Sheltering Arms, WLAC, Gardena Memorial Hospital, and St. Francis Medical Center. Please feel free to telephone us at (310) 635-7123 if you would like further information on Compton Central Community Health Center’s medical services or community outreach programs. |
