Because everyone knows that taking advanced woodshop requires coming in for zero period all the time. And everyone knows that advanced woodshop requires its students to take a book home over Winter Break and do an entire chapter of work without the aid of a teacher. And, of course, everyone knows that advanced woodshop calls for going through an entire year's worth of work by May. Oh, wait, advanced woodshop doesn't entail any of that…but advanced woodshop is just as hard as AP Chemistry. Or so they would have us believe. More... Confused? Once again, we are caught up in that rich fall mix of football fervor, school spirit, and speculation as to who will compose this year's homecoming court. What a fine example of a high school tradition. This year, however, the festivities are shrouded in controversy over a little thing called "gender." More...	Divide and Conquer Segregation is no longer a problem. With the efforts of the Civil Rights leaders of the 60s, among others, it has been outlawed - it's no longer an issue. Bullshit! 'Rent Control Consent. If you're a kid, you need it; if you're a parent, you have the right to withhold it and (no pun intended) screw your kid over. Just about every country in the world has an "Age of Consent," the age at which a person obtains the legal right to have sex with another person who's at least that age or older. In some nations, it's as low as 13. In others, it's as high as 21. Here, it varies from state to state, fluctuating between 16 and 18 - 18 in California. More...
