      At Pondok Villosa ...

       

      By afternoon, still a long way to go ...

      We were getting closer and closer ... The Donkey Ears can be seen at a distance.
      The Donkey Ears in the middle and Ugly Sister Peak towards the right.

       
      More drastic changes of vegetation and terrain can be observed ...

       
       
      Hanging lichen ornaments the gnarled trees.
      Climbing at 2800 feet. The colour of the soil becomes a distinctive orangish yellow. 
      Bushes of Stafaof's Vaccinium are seen in abundance at these elevations. 
      And then the climb will be made a little more difficult with the appearance of large granite rocks.
