In House Schedules

Standard Disclaimer: This information is being provided by me as a private citizen and is in no way to be considered to be official VTA information.

These schedules are used by the information people and as reference by people working at VTA. They include a lot of information that is not included in the public timetables. Here is a list of some of that information:

Block Number
        This identifies a single bus or train on the road. All trips that have the same block number are done by the same bus or train.  For light rail this is called the train number and follows a particular consist.  Light rail also has waht is called the Driver Block or DBlock which follows the operator.  This was added due to the need to operate fall-back on all of the Light Rail lines.

Pull-Out
        The time the bus pulls out of the yard.

Pull-In
        The time the bus is scheduled to pull back in to the yard. At VTA this is supposed to be the time the driver gets off duty after turning in his pouch to dispatch.

Comments
        Special instructions for a driver while in route, these include instructions to watch for other buses or trains, deadhead instructions to other routes, or instructions about how fast or slow to operate a section of route

.Extra Service
        These are extra trips that operate only on certain days, usually extra service put in for school overloads. Included on these is code for which day of the week they operate. (SD = School Day, WE = Wednesday Only, etc.)
