Through The Weird Woods

The forest is still foggy, but Luna clears it up -- cool! You can now see the monsters, although some are very hard to avoid. You meet another NPC (non-player character), Laike.

Monsters you fight here:

Flytrapper

Slow, hitting attack, can poison with Poison Fang

Scythe Spore (mushroom)

Can hit, usually uses Venom Spore to poison

Gorgon

Two attacks: hitting attack, and "Poison Puke," both are short-range attacks

Goblin

Hitting attack, can poison

Items to find here:

• Antidote x6
• Herb x4

The forest is still foggy, but Luna clears it up -- cool! You can now see the monsters, although some are very hard to avoid. This is a little more confusing, with more branches to the path; make sure you pick up all the chests. Remember, you can return to Burg to heal and/or pick up more supplies, if you need to.

You will eventually reach a large clearing; as you try to leave to the north-west, you are surrounded by several parties. You meet a new NPC, Laike, who asks you if you want his help. If you say yes, he fights with you; you control his attacks, just like someone in your party. He gets three attacks a round, for about 325 HP each. If you say no, Laike just looks on until the battle is over. There are three groups you will have to battle, and Laike gives you the chance to let him help after each "round."

After the battle, there is a short talking scene, and you get to rest (full HP and MP). When you awake, Laike is gone. You have about three more monsters before you get out of the forest, so let's get going!

There is a locked chest on the path to the east from the large clearing; remember it for later (ok, I will be making a list of them and will remind you later!).
