Motivation: Upholding the Good |
| J'onn J'onnz was accidentily teleported to Earth when Professor Saul Erdel
was testing his new transporting device. The martian had just suffered a traumatic
experience, lighting the funeral pyre for his wife, and collapsed in a heap. Dr. Erdel,
convinced that the alien could not live with this pain convinced him that he was from a
warrior race on Mars. J'onn then went out into the real world, using his abilities as a
shapeshifter and a telepath to interact with them. He worked as a police detective for
years before finally feeling that he could come out into the open with the advent of Superman. He had been part of every incarnation of the Justice
League and is their most tested and true member. |
