| Mera was the queen of an extra-dimensional waterworld. She managed to meet
and fall in love with Aquaman and eventually married him.
Things went quite well for a time and they had a son, Arthur, Jr. Then, Black Mantis killed their son and Mera went spiralling into
insanity. She eventually attacked Aquaman and disappeared not to show up later until
Aquaman was shunted off into the dimension where she had been kept. After her and her son
had been freed from the dimension, she returned to Aquaman in Atlantis. She has
since repudiated him and seems to be under the thrall of Atlantean sorcerers. |
