| Rex Mason was an archaeologist and one of the best. When working on a site
in Egypt, he uncovered the sceptre of Ra and had its touch transformed him into an element
man. He travelled around after that, taking jobs that only he could do and wooing Sapphire
Stagg, whose father did not approve of him. He joined the Outsiders for a while before
going solo again. Finally, he married Sapphire only to apparently die shortly thereafter
in the events of the Invasion. When he came back to life, much had changed and he had lost
most of his memory. |
