Wonder Woman is a princess of the Amazons. At a young
age, she left the hidden isle of Themyscira to travel to man's world to teach them of
peace. She found a world that was quite unexpected and rather difficult to deal
with. Because of this, she ended up in the uneasy role of super-hero. During
this time, her role as an ambassador of peace suffered and she was replaced by Artemis, another Amazon. This forced her to redefine
herself, making her stronger. She ended up re-taking her title and, shortly
thereafter, being killed. At her death, she was raised to godhood by the Olympians,
becoming the goddess of truth. She meddled too much in mortal affairs, though, so
she was sent back to Earth as a mortal. |
